Kai Saikota explicitly said she wasn’t even offered a buyback option. Nikki Rei managed to walk with her IP, but she was part of Idol gen1 and could have had some weird contract that Brave couldn’t do anything about.
Maeve Morveren is very clear that she’s buying her IP, so we can assume the same is true for everyone else in her position.
