  • Is it just me or did Gura sound really low energy throughout the whole thing? I don’t mean this as a dig or anything like that, I genuinely wonder if anyone else felt that way. It was a very raw live, both emotionally and vocally (in a good way).
Funnily enough I was too focused on the event itself I didn’t even realise it was suppose to be a MINI live - you can imagine my surprise when it ended in a blink of an eye.

Either way, both the relay and graduation were great. Gonna miss the silly shark, hope she’s happy wherever she goes next.

  • Eh, I don’t think it’s that bad. Mio posted 17 days ago, Ruze 14. While they are not as active as on the bird app (I assume) it’s still something. I’m sure you know how difficult it is to convince people to use a new site/app. Add the fact that it’s a pretty new addition (all of their accounts are what, 2 months old?) on top of their Twitter profiles (something they’ve been using for a long time now) and one with a way smaller audience to boot - it’s pretty normal it’ll take a while before things start moving.

The little hope I have comes from the fact that more and more companies are moving away from Twitter. Considering its turn to worse is most likely to speed up it only makes me more convinced it will happen eventually. Will it be anytime soon? Probably not, Cover is a Japanese company after all, but the mere fact they already decided to test the waters with an official domain for the few existing accounts feels like a good sign.

Worst case scenario we can always start bullying messaging them about this topic, make them aware interest in their presence there does in fact exist.

  • Not sure if this specifically is the issue here but I’ll try to explain. Ignore it if I misunderstood your confusion.

Talents/streamers are people behind the avatars, it’s a different name for the same thing.

PLs (past lives) are the personas (name and avatar) used by streamers for their activities before their currently used one (people often stop or minimize activities of a specific persona when joining an agency/going indie etc).

This news is specifically about a an agency closing. Agency is a company which takes streamers under their wing as employees/contractors, (usually) providing them with a new persona and taking care of various legal, logistical and business matters. In return they take a chunk of money streamer earns (from donations, merch, collabs with companies etc).

  • It was a smaller agency with rumors (?) about toxic management and other issues common for black companies. Most of the reactions I’ve seen are neither surprised nor sad about this turn of events though I do hope talents make it out alright. At least some of them will keep their IP (models and persona) and intend to keep going as indies so there’s that.
