It would be a shame if people started backing up and archiving their favourite YouTube channels using yt-dlp.

I think Free Software philosophy is polarising because advocates understand proprietary software mistreats the user and there is too much risk or temptation by developers or their corporate interests for profit. If you follow that train of thought you should be able to see why it would be inappropriate to recommend proprietary software in FOSS spaces.
I wouldn’t give them a cent or negotiate at all either, and the public aren’t going to give a shit about how they’re being tracked.
I use Librewolf and Mull. On android I think only Brave and Mull with ublock are worth considering, at least until Vanadium gets proper ad blocking support.
Never trust proprietary software.
I also really enjoy DCSS and have got the orb out a few times. I hope a true general and traditional-only Roguelike community will pop up soon.
Flavour of the month.
AAA gaming is mostly dead for me outside a few studios that make creative and fun games. I’m so tired of FOTM that are designed to appeal to Twitch streamers. The industry kind of reminds me of superhero movies which will always be able to turn a profit by selling to children. I’d take 60FPS and a low budget fun game over 4K and advanced lighting any day, but I’m not the target audience anymore.
Thanks for this, I also added this to make the sidebar slimmer and more to the right. .d-md-block { max-width: 400px; padding: 0rem 3rem 2rem 3rem; margin: 0px 0px 0px auto; }
Voice for audiobooks, Geometric Weather, Tachiyomi, Feeder for RSS, DCSS & Shattered Pixel Dungeon. All FOSS and all very good.
I worked as a cashier in a supermarket.
Some stores are very strict about coupons and do monitor what a cashier has in their drawer. I doubt most cashiers would even care if you stole from the store as long as it wasn’t their problem.
These people are just trying to keep their jobs and the corporation that has its boot on their neck might be the only place that will hire them. Do you really expect them all to stop working and protest when they see their jobs being replaced? Come on, they have rent to pay and kids to feed. Have more empathy towards those suffering from capitalism.
