Nope. Now is the time to explain how to reinstall Android without Google.
Degoogling is now the only way to install safe apps

No, it’s not “just another install”
It specifically means installing software from a safe source, like fdroid.
Otherwise, you’d be getting it from some unsafe place like Google Play Store, which is loaded with spyware (which isn’t allowed when you install from safer sources like fdroid)

It means “installing safe software”
You have to do it on the side to avoid the fascists that want to ensure the software included spyware

Cool. Time for mass degoogling so people can actually install safe software

That sounds painful

Yep. Looots of phishing emails.

Osmand has all of that, but the maps run locally on the client.
So I guess the only differende is that this lets you download the map once for all your devices instead of on each of your clients directly

What does this solve that osmand and other map apps don’t already do?

That’s absolutely not true. Slate is working on one that’s not.
We’re just waiting for a car to solve this problem.

Yes but you should buy 3 and cluster them

Similar, but you might want to update more frequently with the huge number of critical security bugs being discovered by AI recently

Ansible.

We successfully increase the price of oil, leading to mass adoption of renewable energy alternatives.

Lol this is the least important attribute about EVs to me.
If it charges enough for me to drive 100 km over 8 hours (while I sleep), it’s grand.
But the most important thing to me is that it isn’t a surveillance capsule. So far all EVs suck at this metric.

My point is that they support unsigned packages.
It’s not possible to download a package on apt without signatures, by default. All packages are signed.
We tell people to use Signal, not Telegram, because the later allows unencrypted messaged by default.
I don’t know of any common oci repos that have many signed packages. If you make it your policy to require signatures, there’s almost no images you’ll be able to download because almost none are signed.
Whereas it’s 100% of packages in Debian’s apt that are signed.

Nope. You don’t need to trust a distro Repo’s publishing infrastructure because the packages are cryptographically signed.
Whereas the oci repo had a ton of vectors for delivering maliciously modified code because they include image layers that are totally unsigned.

I’m one of your human visitors who isn’t counted as a human because I don’t use JavaScript btw

That doesn’t make sense. VPN providers are even further outside their jurisdiction.

That’s apples and oranges.
Anyway, both podman and docker are extremely insecure. Safer to download signed ISOs to run in proxmox
Is it a firewall? What does it shield you from?
