Been there. Morrowind: stalking townspeople waiting until night, they go to sleep, I crouch and run into the side of the bed for hours.

Characters don’t sleep in Morrowind. Are you thinking of Oblivion?

Yeah I’m well until another playthrough rn (first one with Tamriel Rebuilt!). The characters even lampshade that fact with some NPCs mentioning that shops and bars are always full since everyone is scared of bad dreams and prefer to work and drink instead of sleep. Which is a silly way of explaining why the dev team didn’t have time to add that feature.
And if you look at how strangely npc cycles worked in Oblivion I think it was good that they didn’t rush to add it into Morrowind 😅
Did that against a rock in the intro of Oblivion with a rubber band on the controller thumbstick. Set it up, went to work, came home to a master of stealth who barely knew which end of a sword to hold.
