Whoa, I went from “Hmm. We already have meta search engine aggregator at home. Do we really need a new one?” to “Whoa, that is pretty! Ughh… but is that AI that im seeing?! loads Wowee that is just a snippet from Wikipedia and various other places!!! It also shows me where the results are coming from. This is really cool! The user interface is copied over but there is no harm in that, its super clean” in like 0.0001 seconds!
I like it alot and will be trying it out. I like that it is more transparent where results are coming from compared to DDG.
Just no a fan of the name, but its just the project it looks like its white label enough to make your own “CI”. And I would definitely not have come up with a better one.
Also like your take on AI, I have a similar stance, very sensible.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What to self host with a GTX 1060?English
1·2 months agoYea, you are probably right. Just wanted to ask before I hand it down myself, in case I missed some really cool use case for it.
My Jellyfin is also very basic with everything pre transcoded as I don’t even have/need >1080p.
So it just looks like a window on my main PC and this way I have ram on my new PC
This sounds really cool. Does that actually work, did you do a comparison? I would have expected that most RAM usage comes from rendering the frame and not sending it, or does
waypipesomehow outsource that as well?

1·2 months agoLove Cryptpad, but am I the only one for whom the loading indicator gives a bad flashback to early js framework web development where every website was 16 times the initial load time, 4 times the overall size and just more buggy. Website SPA or not have rarely a good reason to have a loading indicator for the initial load the browser already does that.

1·4 months agoMaybe not really answering the question, but what goes against using an HDMI cable? It would “be something simple, that is easy to maintain, as the presentations change daily.”
Assuming you all have laptops ofc.
