Given that they dont offer firefox, I dont see why they would offer thunderbird

Now that upstream Linux is adopting Rust,
is it? From what I read the old kernel developers are really opposing it
Are you even able to access the bios ? Could it be a problem with your montor ?

I have never had thunderbird crash. Not questioning what you say but perhaps its sonsthing else? Did u try deleting thubderbird data and starting fresh ?
Ya there is prboom which is installable on Linux. Also dosbox was a thing for playing dos games on Linux
And its a scary thing.
no matter how many down votes I get, I still insist that firefox should be self dependant as long as it doesnt come at cost of violating my privacy
Are you paying for firefox or getting it for free? From where do you think they get money to pay salaries other expenses?
you might say oh but chrome is also free but its not, you just pay with your privacy
Whats wrong with regular firefox?
If the tracking software is open source what is stopping employees from changing source code to their advantage ?
It could also be a disk problem. I second the backup suggestion
Probably your photo gallery caching thumbnails of photos u have. From terminal it should bd possible to know but not sure if there is an app for it
my laptop does reset it every reboot.
If you are using KDE, you can just use KDE’s battery manager to set it there.
otherwise, your solution is good too.
Some laptops allow for controlling level kf charge. For example I keep my battery at 65% to prolong its life. If its supported, you should be able to set it through /sys/class/power_supply/bat0/charge_level
i dont rember file name and path exactly but shouldnlook like this
Edit: Correct filename is /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_control_end_threshold
I vote for matrix / fluffy chat
There is fluffchat which is just client for matrix (an open source chat standard).
i tested it with voice and video and it works great. End to end encryption also. Works on all systems (window, linux, android, iphobe,…). Even thunderbird can work as matrix client.
best of all, just like lemmy you can install your own chat server and have full control
am still waiting for it to be available where i live
Thanks TIL about fennec fox
