Don’t forget they won’t help you until you spend a couple of thousands out of pocket first.

Yeah, I think a lot of the people who are against are the ones who don’t like the ad-removal model, because you are paying to remove ads on an app that uses a platform whose foundation is built against ads and tracking. The subscription model or one-time payment for life is fair IMO; people are free to support the dev (and please support the lemmy devs and instance admins too!). It’s the ads (and tracking that come with it) that’s kinda weird.
Lol I have the exact 3 beta apps on my phone that I use alternately. You can also add the desktop web apps on there too. I’m on a desktop browser 80% of the time, so I use alexandrite as a front-end.
The person at the DMV was confused why I was staring blankly (actually not, just a neutral expression) when taking a photo for my license. She told me that it’s ok if I wanted to smile. It’s weird how you’re allowed to have a non-neutral expression on driver’s licenses in the US.
I think Elton John testified in Spacey’s trial and sorta corroborated Spacey’s alibi that he was somewhere else when the assault in question happened. I didn’t really read much into it but that’s how I understood it. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m seeing Oppenheimer on IMAX later today and I’m already dreading the Nolan sound design. Is it bad? Hopefully not Tenet bad?
I remember a couple of years ago someone from high school (2 years ahead of me) messaged me out of the blue. I never really interacted with that person even back in high school, and their opening message was asking if I had zoom. Checked out her profile and as expected, MLM.
Wow Bunsenlabs. Now that’s a distro I haven’t heard in a while. lol. I used to have it on an old laptop many many years ago.
I used Deezer for several years before they removed regional pricing. Sound quality was better than Spotify IMO, and I like their UI more. It’s cleaner and less cluttered. The fact that you get lossless included by default now is definitely a plus too. You can also upload your own wav/mp3 files if you can’t find it in their catalog. Never tried Tidal so I don’t have an opinion about it.
I didn’t worry. I just download Ram Booster to fix that.
I finally joined the club and got a 34” curved monitor this month. Pretty good so far. It has also cleared up space on my desk instead several monitors taking up most of it. I still use my laptop as an extra screen to the side though.
Unless you’re in the EU, your data is unfortunately still there. You just can’t access it.
Lol same. I also use it for time critical stuff where you don’t want to risk a site breaking, like when trying to get tickets for good seats on a concert when sale opens.
Wait, there was developer drama? I just saw a comment from the Mlem dev yesterday thanking the Memmy dev for helping with getting their app through some testflight issues.
One of my happiest purchases in the last few years was an airfyer. lol
Not really a firefox answer, but you can try Adguard or Aha DNS Blitz. i also recently discovered Orion browser, which allows you to install FF extensions like uBO.
Does the lack of back support not cause issues? I feel like I’ll go into a slouch position if I have nothing to lean on.
Protonmail’s interface and mobile app is more refined and faster than Tutanota’s, and PM has more features on their free tier than what Tutanota provides on their free tier. Having said that, both are great email providers. I have accounts on both but I tend to use PM more at this point in time.
I just want to say I love the friendly “competition” between you guys. It just results in better and better products. I have both and I use them equally. Great work on Mlem, and thanks for opening up the beta signup when I asked a couple of days ago. lol
Tilda, because I like how I can drop it down my screen anytime by pressing one key if I need to use it.
