  • It’s not about unknown issues on the dev side, it’s about greed. CDPR wanted to release for Xmas when the large playerbase of the prev gen consoles was still relevant, so they happily pushed marketing and lied to take people’s money, hoping they can pay exec bonuses and fund future development from that.

Sony had to pull the game from the online store, as it was barely playable. One good question of course why Sony would let it even be there without testing, but of course major companies are trusted to QA themselves, and not release a broken game - luckily this seems to work most of the time.

  • Agree. Also the same with CP77 - I don’t care how much they update and polish that game, I’m not touching it again. It was barely playable on XBOX1X on release. I luckily was able to sell my launch day copy with a small loss, but I’m not trusting them with my money again, after I (and many others) have been misled, and given an unplayable game on consoles.

I am not an investor to lend money to the company for development, I am a consumer, so I want a working game for my money on Day 1, otherwise I’m shopping elsewhere - as plenty of studios manage to great and polished games (e.g. most PS exclusives).

  • Yes, around a decade (or a bit more) ago I also found him interesting, based on a few short youtube videos or things I’ve read. Was never a fan, but as some other comments mentioned, young men were/are looking for these types of belonging and guidance.

Then I of course grew up, formed my own opinions of the world, and the same time he went further and further to the unhinged side, so yi can’t take him seriously anymore.

Everything is paywalled. I’m leasing a less than 2 years old BMW, and now everything is included (e.g. phone app, carplay, guarantee), but after a while these run out, and you have to pay for even navigation.

This is also why I think it’s not worth to buy these cars, lease/rent it at the most. If you want to own smg, buy a reliable Jap/Korean option - when looking at used cars I’ve seen Mazdas hold their value incredibly (unlike the fancy German cars).

I heard of a guy who tuned his already 500 hp Benz to get it over 600 (now he is under arrest in my country for street racing).

They also do this a lot with BMWs, e.g. the 318i and 320i engine is the same, so if you just change/hack some software setting on the 318i, you can get more hp out of the same car.

But these are of course the minority of people, and mostly targeting sport cars, not luxury sedans.

  • Try to find a job first, they’ll help with immigration. Finding a job abroad is like 90% of the initial difficulty, especially without knowing local language.

Easiest way is to work at a multinational company, and push for a transfer / internal application after a few years. That’s how I did it, from east EU to the west, but you have to be great in what you do. Second good option imo is to have highly demanded specialist skill like SW dev or doctor.

Third option is take whatever you can in most likely the service industry (e.g. bartender in Malta), and work your way up - they are going to love getting an American in tourist related roles. If you do this, might make sense to be already in the chosen country with tourist visa, and calling/walking around places to get a job, the other 2 can be done online.

    Good luck!
