It reminds me of how Weird Al’s wonderful movie UHF didn’t do great in theaters, being released in the summer of 1989. That meant it was competing against the following blockbusters:
- Ghostbusters II
- Back to the Future Part II
- Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
- Lethal Weapon 2
- Batman
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
