Linux@lemmy.ml•Copy Fail (CVE-2026-31431) is a trivially exploitable logic bug in Linux, reachable on all major distros released in the last 9 years. A small, portable python script gets root on all platforms.English
56·6 months agoI agree. This seems fishy to me. I am concerned about compressed code in a public disclosure like this. Also it seems like all the documentation was written by AI.

1·6 months agoBecause the best camera is the one you have on you
Not an iphone fan but it’s all that work will buy me. Just got a 17 pro max and I’m amazed with the camera. I think finally I no longer need to bring my full frame when hiking anymore. It’s simply not worth the 2kg when my phone can pretty much do the same thing (except telephoto)
I came here to suggest Frigate.
First I’ve heard of it. It just looks like minecraft. Why should I be interested in this?

2·9 months agoI will try it based on your second paragraph.
Are you sure the pipeline works that way? I know what you mean and it would seem like a huge oversight on their part to apply the denoise before the other edits. I would assume that increasing exposure, for example, would ignore the applied denoise rather than apply it overtop? If that wording makes any sense
Regardless I’ve used it to rescue photos I’ve taken on a nexus 4 over a decade ago, making them look like proper photos, and I find the feature so useful that it’s irreplaceable to me
The other feature is the AI content aware fill. In darktable, can you circle a piece of garbage on the ground and effortlessly remove it? Or do you have to do some manual clone stamping etc etc?
In a recent instance, a friend requested an album cover from a 3x2 image that I needed to expand to be 1x1. Can you tell that the left and right edges of this are not real? I don’t think I would have been skilled enough to pull this off without AI tools. https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a1356058193_10.jpg

1·9 months agoDarktable doesn’t have AI denoise, and also doesn’t have camera profiles for fuji RAF files, just off the top of my head.

I was thinking about using windows as a docker container
I shoot professionally and my pixel is my sidearm. These raw files are incredible and not even iPhone comes close
Some of my best paid photos are from a phone haha
If you’re wanting to max out your new phone you should purchase motioncam. Get raw video from your sensor like a cinema camera. Apple users could only dream of this
Camera is most important feature to me and it doesn’t even come close to the pixel sadly
Unfortunately feels like it’s my responsibility to be paying attention at this point no matter how noisy and brutal it gets
Yeah I wouldn’t trust a man either after what I went through. People are in general, no good.
Yeah my ex was only ever in my life out of her own sheer convenience. And when I left her a bunch of other people in my life also revealed themselves. I’ll probably never get over it and I’ll probably never trust a woman ever again. But man, being alone is so fucking easy. I wish I left her ages ago. Turns out alcohol was never my problem it was just people.
I’m 30 and freshly out of a 10 year relationship and wow I had no idea life could be so stress free lmao
