The worst is when it’s buried in Github issues or in a header file with thousands and thousands of lines of code. Yes I’m looking at you DearImGui, your documentation is awful and I’m already being generous.

They should make any developers who are required to write documentation go through this step. It’ll be an interesting day and you’ll actually learn something… I hope.
It’s a form factor where software is even more important though. I’m sure that for some people the larger screen is fine enough but at that price point, the average person needs more value out of that cost. To each their own but it does seem that it’s not as clear cut as YouTubers may make it seem. There’s also the fact that Samsung does provide far better deals and support at least in this country compared to their Chinese counterparts.
As a foldable guy, I live in Singapore where Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo also sell their foldables. They look okay at a glance but walk into any store and try them and the software immediately makes the phone feel underbaked.
There’s a reason despite that and their lower prices, there’s still far more common to see people with Samsung’s foldables than their Chinese counterparts.
I agree with you but a ton of people don’t so I think this is a good compromise. Give all the people who want a wide unwieldy, slim foldable for those who want it and charge them the premium for it. Just don’t touch my pen capable, comfortably one-handed thick and narrow Fold.
I used to be pretty stubborn about wanting a stock experience especially after the bloated sluggish mess that was TouchWiz but they’ve really turned things around.
There’s a lot of One UI features that I take for granted now (same thing I also hear from friends who switched to a Pixel) and it also looks way better than stock after Google did the whole Material 3 change. The main annoyance I have is with the default launcher and keyboard but those can easily be changed to third party alternatives anyways.
I wish more companies made narrow book style foldable like Samsung does. It’s a much better form factor for one handed use and books so it’s a shame that Samsung’s not getting any competition there.
NoPhoneSpam from FDroid is pretty good at blocking overseas spam calls.
Yea, I agree with you on that front.
For what it’s worth, he’ll be suffering in his cell waiting for quite awhile until an unspecified execution date due to the Japanese death sentence system.
Don’t shoot the messenger lol. I’m in agreement with you.
I am from Singapore so most of my flights are from Changi Airport which is quite packed I guess.
I agree with you but to play devil’s advocate, even for the simple issue of app sideloading on Android, there’s no shortage of dumb users out there that willingly bypass all sorts of warnings and install apps that are very obviously malware.
Wouldn’t a power bank solve that issue? So far the airports I’ve been to usually have the power sockets completely hogged so I don’t even count on the chance that one is free. I usually bring along a power bank that gets me through 2-3 full charges of my phone.
Noone would ever buy a PC if they wouldn’t get admin-access and mustn’t install Linux or whatever. With phones they managed to keep us out.
Realistically this only forms a tiny part of the population though, that’s pretty much the only reason why they’ve been able to keep people out.
But somehow, she’ll make it all work out.
Disable them and hide them using a custom launcher. For what it’s worth, I like Samsung’s changes over stock Android (especially post-Material 3) to use a Pixel. It also helps that I’m using a Fold and Samsung has the best software features of any foldable.
Teams for work and when I ever need to for personal calls which is really rare, Telegram.
Yea if they hadn’t cancelled the compact back then, I would’ve went with it instead of the S10e I got af the time.
