I imagine it varies wildly by distro, hardware, use-case, etc.

Linux systems usually consume more energy than identical systems with other operating systems
Is this true?
I got a Framework, and the 16:10 aspect ratio allows for the two bars without messing up most applications as they’re mostly geared toward 16:9. Full screen games go over both bars.
You can get a used PS4 for pretty damn cheap these days, and Bloodborne is basically free… I would say it’s worth the investment, the game is phenomenal.
There are also (somewhat hidden) “hard modes” where the only indicator that you’re in a different mode is that the badge number next to the uBlock icon changes color.
You can have it block all third party scripts by default for every website, or even go all out and basically use it like noscript. Pretty much breaks every individual website though but you can choose individually what to let through and save it based on domain (I believe) so you really only need to do it once.
I think the Common Core addressed this a bit.
Not sure if that stuff is still in the curriculum because a bunch of dumbass parents who will not hesitate to boast about “how bad they are at math” complained about not understanding their child’s homework.
Could you imagine if it was though? Shit would be dope.
I guess this was just one level of abstraction too much for you huh?
The entire issue here is AI being trained on people’s data without them knowing or giving permission. The question of who’s likenesses and which photos are being used is an excellent question and it’s a big part of the problem here.
Sounds like a skill issue.
Yes, my EOS/KDE brother/sister/enby
Switched from Windows about a year ago, and have felt zero need to even try another distro or desktop environment.
Excellent question.
Their photos are still unwittingly being used as training data.
I’ve just noticed that any time anyone ever brings up eating insects, or making flour out of insects, on the internet, some right wing dumbass reveals themself. Maybe lemmy is different, but I’ve seen that here too.
Careful, you might trigger a conservative.

Hmm… my right click menu looks uniform. Could be your theme.
Surely use-case is important? Someone running a server that’s on 24/7 vs. someone running it on a laptop or desktop that they shut down every day.
