So to any young kids who get into this “I am intelligent therefore depressed.”

I’ve been there and what I’ve found is that if you are like how I was. I falsely correlated analysis of the universe and the discovery of it’s harshness with how I was feeling and probably erroneously ignored my bias (because I was depressed) to focus on negative realizations.

It was my caustic family environment, my lack of individual freedom, poor sleep, poor diet that was making me miserable.

If you’re feeling this way you need to look into Mindfulness and why existence even in its brutally bleak appearance can be an enjoyable quiet morning listening to crickets as you wake up, or being aware of noisy air vent that sounds interesting, or even the curiosities of your own wandering mind.

Our experience of existence is relative to our framing. Emotional intelligence is learning to side step the current and enjoy observing the river.

The problem isn’t that I want to be a centrist because I think it’s correct. It’s because this country is going to fucking shit with the deadlock on any kind of cooperation.

Constantly volleying for further extremes correct or not is why we can’t get a budget approved, why even with the ACA it got stripped to fucking Bits when the next presidency swung around.

The reality is you want to be bringing in more voters by being more palatable and not pushing them away by drawing a line in the sand for EVERY single issue. No I’m a better liberal! No I’m a better liberal look at me virtue signal.

    It’s fucking exhausting.

Honestly yeah this is actually great. Most of the reasons I started to hate Reddit was that it went “mainstream”. Censorship, political feuds.

I would hear Reddit mentioned in the news. I don’t need that for my “community”.

Like a return to Bulletin Boards. Hell yeah. Free and open internet babyy

  • Okay right but why would “cloud native” as the community’s marketing for it be considered a red flag. Someone who doesn’t know better would think oh “cloud native” Kubernetes is evil. When really the moniker mostly means it was designed to be highly scalable, to interface with public cloud API’s, among many other decisions that differentiate traditional enterprise I.T. software (which like Cisco products) could have its own fair share of “evilness” to be avoided.

My point was that O.P. should clarify why that’s such an immediate red flag for them.

To future readers I consistently use “cloud native” software on my bare metal computers at home. It’s mostly a marketing term to reflect “modern ness” in software features to be run on a public cloud.

In my experience cloud native doesn’t mean it’s on Google, or Microsoft’s privacy stealing software because they’re marketing to you that you can host it yourself on the public cloud.
