There is a web version i beleive but they have support for basicly all platforms nativly.
Huge fan of logseq
Google really is trying to kill firefox but i heard they are/have added a report this website button now. I should know this since I use the developer edition just havn’t needed to check yet.
I reccommend debian headless and docker compose. Set up ssh but i would only open ssh to the internet if your using certificate authenticarion. Chatgpt will be able to help you with most of this except installing docker just copy paste install commands from the docker docs
I should add that as a greesemonky script
Most of my things are open to the web but thats kinda nessasary for them to be functional file shairing links, link shortening, mc server etc etc
I been using rethink dns but ik their are other for android at least. Works by making a local vpn magic.
What about on mobile? Those of us who use dns filtering on mobile.
I dont usw miltiple profiles myself but i imagine linux would behave much better in terms of once u set it up. But settibg it up would be just as much of a pain.
I have been looking at that as an option just feel a little hesitant to buy used drives. But if the wise gentlmen of lemmy reccommend it how bad can it be.
I might use some paid remote storage for an off site backup but i need something local as 0.6Mbps/s is about the best upload i can get without shilling out for starlink.
Ur right in that case i suggest just set up a vpn to ur home lan and have it stream to lan
Cant u do it with vlc directly?
Huh i vagly remember needing putty but i havnt used windows in almost 5years now.
Bold of u to assumw they are using linux as there main pc os. If they are using windows i beleive it doesnt come with an ssh client.
Try set up ssh then u can ether use a terminal or vscode with the ssh emote something extension
I might have to try syncthing then im sure i can use git for versioning my notes from just one node and retain that feature. I use logseq so on desktop git syncing is automatic.
How does syncthing compair to git. Im using git currently but sycing to mobile has a tendancy to break
Yeah
