I have windows 11 on my gaming PC and work laptop and don’t think it’s any worse than 10. Some UI is confused between old style and new, but Windows has done that since Vista. 11 doesn’t have so much of the awful drop-downs without borders and so on where you can’t tell where one component ends and another starts.
Tip: Peertube Companion is a good extension for directing you to duplicates of the video you’re trying to watch if it can be found elsewhere.
I forsee a requirement that only “approved” OS are allowed to connect to mobile networks, citing security issues.
My phone is Android from 2016, and it doesn’t have a QR scanner built-in. I know I can download something to do it, but someone like my mother for instance wouldn’t know that. Why do I have such an old phone? It still lasts for days on a charge and does everything I need.
I know this, but it’s a barrier for anyone who doesn’t.
Here’s an interesting point. I just went to an nsfw sub to see if I’d get that prompt, and it gives me two ways to verify - selfie or photo ID. The photo ID has to be “government issued”, and maybe I don’t have one of those. The selfie is a link for a phone, using a QR code and I don’t have a phone that can scan QR codes.
This means that in order to access said sub, I’d need to buy a new phone or wait 30 days or whatever to buy some kind of ID. Even with all the other reasons this sucks, that seems discriminatory.

This lets you run git cd to go to the root of your repo, or git cd foo/bar to go to a path relative to that root. You can’t do it as an alias because it’s conditional, and you can’t do it as a git-cd command because that wouldn’t affect the current shell.
If you click “Why am I seeing this?” does it just say, “America”?
