I don’t really see the problem with having the password manager in the cloud if it is protected by 2FA. I tried vaultwarden (self hosted) about a year ago and the showstopper was that I couldn’t store a new password when off LAN or without first connecting the VPN. I am sure there are on demand vpn type services, but it was clunky. It would have been great it if would work locally on the phone then sync the password to the vault when it came back online

The thing about owning cats, especially ones you haven’t had from kittens, is you literally have no control over anything lol… they eat what they like, and use the toilet that they have been trained to use. My recommendation is if you re-home cats, ask the previous owner to show you what they eat (specific brands and types) and what toilet they currently use and start with that. I also feel pure bred type cats will be even pickier. I have Burmese and they are incredibly fussy and set in their ways
I got proxmox setup pretty easy and I am running Plex in an lxc, and docker in another. In docker, I use paperless NGx for electronic document storage

The pessimist in me feels Microsoft need people to buy the new devices with the shiny new co-pilot button more than ever… gotta recoup the hundreds of billions sunk into OpenAI

trying to come up with new places to shove AI

Because we have been conditioned for 30 years to use a search engine

No one believes this stuff anymore, right? Google combines 3 teams to focus on making the Play Store more profitable… something something developers

Not on purpose, but here is a tip… don’t use an eyebrow trimmer when drunk, specifically… don’t forget to put the length comb on first.
I think this is a nice piece of history though… they loved their cats and couldn’t GAF about eyebrows

They have always followed the iPhone event haven’t they? Maybe this year they think they have enough advantage to lead

Maybe they think they have the one up on Apple this year and want to lead rather than follow… I hope it is something exciting, even though I am an iPhone user. Any innovation is great though I am guessing it will be AI related

I eventually got the GPU passed through to the VM… it took about a day of following different guides. Then I tried the same thing on a container and it was about 3 mins work and it was in infinitely better experience with plex in a container instead of a vm

Sure, but it would be illogical to think that a company with seemingly unlimited resources would get fined, and then introduce new that didn’t exactly comply with what was required… I mean, I would think they are working with the EU to ensure it is within a millimeter of what they are allowed. It seems you just don’t like it.

You think a multi trillion dollar company is just winging it from a legal standpoint? Or do you think they have worked with the EU to develop the policy within a hair of what they are actually required to do?

I stumbled across this the other day…
As a shortcut to configuring it, you can go to the site (like Kagi) and if they have a text field to paste into (or a search field) you can generally right click on the field and select ‘add keyword for this search’… so say you add ‘kagi’ as a search term (in the cmdlet) in the browser address bar you would just type kagi <paste url> and hit enter

I haven’t tried the quest, but I will be interested to see the comparisons of picture quality and features. It seems expensive, but I can see there being a big market for something like this in a few years for people who might live alone and enjoy the minimalism of now having a massive TV. There would seem to be a tonne of people in the world who wouldn’t bat an eye at dropping $3,500 on a gadget.

I will wait for the budget version in a few years, but Plex would be rad

Maybe there is no kool-aid and it is just better, hence why these apps exist. As you said, RCS is coming yet people still aren’t happy. It sounds like Google can’t make a decent messaging app and is mobilising it’s user base to force the issue instead of innovating
This is the way I do it
