Fellow Moto chop and twist gestures 💪🏻
Yeah this surprised me. Is NFC payment not common in India?
Thanks for the reply. I guess I haven’t had that happen to me yet with videos I’m looking for again having gone private.
I’m also not interested in crappy, privacy-invading, ad-shoving YouTube apps, which is why I mentioned SmartTube. In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s FOSS and has AdBlock & SponsorBlock integrated. It’s designed for TV use. If Tube Archivist fits your need though, that’s great.
I’m genuinely curious: do you re-watch enough YT videos that you need to archive your subscriptions? Or have I misunderstood the use of the plugin? I’m using SmartTube for TV YT content and it’s fantastic.
if you have weird double monitors
Is having more than one monitor “weird” to most Linux distros? I guess I’m a huge weirdo for having 3 then…
Good for you, but that’s not how most people use their main browser?!
I agree, my comment probably didn’t properly reflect that. But the reality is for the (less than) 1% of folks like us on Lemmy, there are a majority that will just go along and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. For example
Good for you, but you are not the typical customer. The vast majority of people will put up with the enshitification and Google (and every other large company doing the same thing) will continue to reap billions in profit.
I’ve been looking at options for my older clients as MS has been pushing this new Outlook client. Thunderbird is unfortunately fugly compared to more modern looking apps. I haven’t been successful transitioning any of those older folks to using Thunderbird as it’s too different for them.
I’ve been rolling back the Outlook installs but it’s just a bandaid. I’d love to hear that’s there’s a comparable replacement to the W10 mail app.
Firefox on mobile does have something called Collections. It’s not a tab group, but like a group of bookmarks you can save.
SmartTubeNext for a YT client
Good to know, thanks. Hopefully they’ll come to Canada soon too.
The problem is getting one if you’re in North America…
Cool, thanks! Something I’ve been meaning to try out.
