Wouldn’t they want to roll this out to all users as soon as possible to save on bandwidth? They have an “are you still watching?” prompt to save on bandwidth as well, right?
I didn’t expect this, the end of June is right around the corner, too. Best wishes to A-chan, she will be missed!
Timing is tricky with all the factors involved from viewer sentiment to talent selection/availability. I’m seeing speculation that this will be a group of European members which would provide good coverage that is largely missing from current HololiveEN. We’ll see soon!
Not only that, but when I was younger I would do it out loud. I still remember the time I was walking to school and having that conversation with myself out loud and wasn’t aware someone was walking behind me until I turned around and saw the weirded-out look on her face.
For work, huh?
It’s similar to the appeal of cartoons to me. It’s not something I enjoy instead of live action stuff, it’s just another form of entertainment. It’s an interesting creative medium with its own possibilities. Most of the time, it’s just another streamer I listen to while I do my work.
I like the outfit, the hair is my favorite part of it.
The whole thing?
I don’t hit my head often enough to notice a taste. I’m concerned, Hakka!
I love this song! I would’ve liked less distortion, but the beauty of it shines through.
An office without air conditioning would be pure hell.
… Why is she sweating like that?
I wonder how many actually follow and keep track of lore. Neat video, but personally I’m not big on lore, so it kind of feels odd to need a justification for why Promise is a group.
Looking forward to these! Good to see a full holostarsEN generation in 3D.
I do wonder if they plan on expanding to other regions and how that branding goes. For example, would there be a Hololive Europe or is it language based? I suppose region doesn’t really matter unless they plan on building out studios or partnering with studios in those regions. The biggest differentiator has been language.
That’s not the reason why they’re doing this, just like how eliminating the super size option wasn’t to have people eat less junk food. It’s not effective in achieving that. This is just to squeeze more profits out of people, on an item that costs them pennies.
My speculation is that this is a way to let talents retire without sacrificing the marketability of characters. For a corporation, having a character that took so much time effort to develop just to cease being used is a liability. It wouldn’t be a Kizuna AI situation since that had such a negative reaction, but I could see continued usage in marketing and merch. I’m sure all parties involved would be happy with some sort of royalty arrangement. It has been described as an experimentation, so it remains to be seen how it will actually play out.
