The Pinetime’s a pretty solid FOSS watch, actually. Assuming you’re ok with pretty basic use cases (for now)- it’s easily worth the $30ish to get one, anyway.

I’ve seen a lot of companies try to sell the concept of strapping a screen to your face over the years (whether it’s the Virtual Boy, Google Glass, Hololens, etc), and all of them have pretty much flopped or fallen very short of expectations. Getting harder and harder not to see the whole concept as a solution in search of a problem
