Sadly, a lot of the QAnon types tried to co-opt the Libertarian party in the US due to being disassociated from the GOP. But those QAnon incels couldn’t be anymore non-Libertarian.

Libertarians used to be made up of people who supported bodily autonomy, legalization of various drugs, reduced government powers, etc. But have lately been infiltrated by outcasted Republicans.

That’s what those on the Left would have you believe. Since anything remotely outside their party’s status quo is ignorantly called right wing. But there are multiple iterations of Libertarianism, which themselves fall within a left/right dichotomy. For example, there is Libertarian Socialism, who’s values pull largely from the Left. Then you have the more right-leaning Anarcho Capitalist. But what these varying flavors of Libertarianism have in common is mostly all are anti-state and centrist.

The simplest solution would be to use a Nostr app to create a keypair (aka account). Then add the Mostr.pub relay. This will let you search for ActivityPub users and follow them as if it were a Twitter-style feed.

Yup Yup! I’ve got it uploading objects. It seems to be an issue with fetching them. The hash is either mismatched or it’s not correctly trying to grab from the sled repo. So, I get a 500 error in store response. Not really sure how to fix it.

I am using the from scratch install and on 0.18.5 and using pictrs 0.4.0 beta (or whichever build comes with the embed version)

Initially, when I set my object storage creds in the docker-compose.yml file, it seemed to work and I see in my bucket it populated some files.

But now I don’t think it is writing anything to the bucket. Any ideas? Thanks!

Turns out, even with the from scratch install, I needed to edit the docker-compose.yml file to add the pict-rs env vars. It’s working now.

You may want to also look at offloading media with pict-rs to a object storage like an S3 API compliant bucket. Otherwise, you’ll find Lemmy soaks up lots of storage.

Seems the only caveat to doing this is that now my instance is growing about ~2GB per day lmao

I accidentally nuked my internet the other day while testing Pass. Because it’s not local hosted, I could not access a single password. That’s not cool. Still not sure if I’m sold on using Pass. I’ve also had it not always offer to save new login details and some forms it misses 2fa. Hopefully all that gets fixed soon. But I’m an unlimited user for all the other features. Luckily they prorate the upgrade if you have current service. Might as well take the jump.

Mullvad was throttling my iptv connection. Ironically, from the same data center, using Proton the streams weren’t throttled. So not sure if Proton is paying a premium for better bare metal and uplink or what the deal was with Mullvad. Hope you have a better experience.
