at what age did you realize you were a bsd person?
testing has it as well.
Something something linux profit?
This doesn’t make sense to me. I have Ubuntu installed on a machine and have never even touched snaps. I did not have to do anything out of the box to not use snaps.
I think openvpn works completely fine for most use cases and didn’t have any trouble with it at all. I did however switch to wireguard on my gateway and I get a little better throughput compared to openvpn. That being said, I’m also using a pfsense box as my home gateway, so access to internal services has been easy as general routing gets.
I don’t think you are correct. You will need to get over this. Thanks in advance.
What was old is new!

So it’s instant messaging with encryption?
Lol, an ole twist of the arm aye?

I’ve got it installed on a Debian 12 box I’m using as an htpc. It’s works pretty nicely.
Could you create a new partition out of that 300 for /var?
HA = High-Availability
But I think OP meant Home Assistant
Can you list the devices you have and what you want each one to be doing?
I’m in the same boat; been using Manjaro on my desktop for years without anything really breaking. I’ve told myself that when it does break and I can’t fix it I’ll distro hop again, but it just hasn’t been the case yet.
i think you should check out KDE plasma just in general.
