Yeah i used to do that. Then i got hooked by how easy it became to just stream all the time. Local made me feel like i got stuck on the same music after a while a bit too much, and getting new music required effort. I became lazy.

I honestly don’t care if it’s a user issue or a platform issue. It’s annoying af.
Yes, EU, they probably have to. Thing is i can’t see a thing on that pop-up, something somewhere is blocking it. Turned off ublock, still not showing, turned off i don’t care about cookies, still shows nothing. So it’s a white, empty pop-up on which i can’t click a thing and can’t get beyond it.
i think it’s whoever made the playlist i dunno. It’s mildly infuriating to me anyhow that someone would post a “full album …” and compose it with videos which all together do not form the album they claim it is in the title of the playlist.
It is. I use it as such regularly. Keyboard+mouse+screen = browsing firefox as usual. Works quite well. Libreoffice, okular, signal desktop… I’ve used worse computers in recent years, steamdeck desktop experience is better than many 4 to 5 year old cheap laptops with win10 or win11.
Tuna on pizza is so dry. They don’t belong together.
are you going to rob them while they’re away?
that was interesting, thanks!
there’s still a decent chance it’s only industrially biodegradable: at higher temperatures and pressures than a good ol’ home compost pile normally ever gets near. It could still be a bit infuriating.
Glass bottles are not always single use. Countries have systems to recollect them (empty bottles hold a face value), they get factory-cleaned and quality tested and each bottle can run for 20 or more cycles. The issue is more that it increases the transportation and handling costs and emissions because of weight. Bottles that don’t pass the test anymore but did stay in the system can get near 100% recycled, tho the issues there are that it’s usually downgrade (make dark bright again = hard) and very energy intensive (costs more energy to recycle than to make glass from scratch). Anyhow: not single use.
Many leading shittifiers don’t match your explanation. Google, the owner of YouTube, is not a small start-up VC toy.
It’s small, but growing very fast. While actual PC has stagnated, no?
It’s not impossible, but it can be hard. A job offers some obligated (often real life) social interaction. Might be annoying sometimes, but none at all isn’t healthy either. Many people really aren’t capable of setting goals for themselves, having their own business or networks etc. Most jobs offer more than money to an employee, the employee might not realise it themselves.
It’s fun for the first few months. Catch up on games movies etc. Gets boring after a few months, most people need goals in life and find it hard to set them for themselves…
Public capital. The smartphone is the culmination point of billions and billions of government “aimless” r&d for half a century.
All the generally established capitalist wiggleroom like minimum wages, paid holiday, affordable health care, education instead of manual labour for children etc were established by massive strikes and (threats of) violent masses.
One might actually choose the slightly more expensive fair trade t-shirt after such a conversation?
The sound quality sucks.
i very recently learned how to drive. Learned manual because it is still the majority of cars on the roads here… Looking forward to the majority of the vehicles being automatic! It makes a lot more sense
you make me think i might, who knows. It looks and feels as a half-blocked element by something tho. The lay-over pop-up thing is getting thru, it’s content is not. Now I found out that I can “click” some of the whiteness (turns into a hand), but don’t know what I’ld be agreeing to.
First there’s this: which the only option is “review options”. There is no “close it for now” or whatever. It’s not a choice but a command.
If clicking the review choices, I get a blank window with some “ghost elements” and when I inspect some of these it for example says “yes, link”. But I’ld rather not. Tried turning off all my extensions and refreshing but that still didn’t render it readable to me.
