I know - it’s like looking at new games on a Steam Sale, when you already have a library of underplayed and unplayed games.
I’ve already got cats who would love to hang out with me a bit more, and the local animal shelters have many unhomed cats already in them.

It was removed about version 44 or 45 or somewhere about then. Maybe a couple of years ago.
Unless they’ve fixed it in a very recent version, it now has a “next five weeks” view instead - starting from the middle of one month and ending part way through another, and showing you a mixed up “Aug/Sep/Nov” sort of thing - which might be sort of useful for knowing what you’re doing socially next week, but if you’re trying to do accounts, timesheets, budgeting and other admin stuff it’s a massive pain in the arse.

Interesting. I hope they have a “month” view in the calendar. Gnome Calendar removed theirs (“it’s a feature, not a bug”) and it’s been a massive pain in the arse to use ever since.

By weird chance, I was watching Stargate SG-1 yesterday (with the character Sam Carter), and also sang a Peter Frampton song at one of my cats this morning.
Give him a fully human-style name and surname, like “Dave Smith” or “Paul Wilson” or something like that.
They often sleep like that if they feel so completely safe and at ease that they don’t have a worry in the world - so take it as a compliment :)

It’s a very good question - though the 1870s is about when “dry plate” photography was introduced, and during the decade, exposure time potentially dropped below a second (depending on the what/where/how of the photograph).
Roughly 1850-1860ish is when you’re looking at over ten or twenty seconds for a photo, which is probably a “cat sitting still” limit. Earlier than that you start going towards minutes and hours for a photograph. I think there are cat photos from the 1840s, though I imagine the photos are blurry or the cats are asleep
