  • Fucking SAME. I bartended and served through college (my degree doesn’t pay well due to YouTube tutorials that have flourished in my industry, lol ouch) and after, and then finally at 30 I started temping in manufacturing, which led to me permanently hired at a huge company with ridiculous benefits, and am now a supervisor in engine assembly that will make 6 figures in 3 years.

I desperately wish I had gone into trade school when I was 18.

  • I feel like cats at least know where to go when it’s loud outside, where to get food/water/rest in the calm, where to get all the pets and lovins before taking off,… I don’t think any animal is ready for bomb shakes but they’ll get to the best place they can faster than we will for protection.

Too attached to their people to leave? How many outlived their adoptive family?

Now, I know nothing about nuthin’, but I would guess any house kitties left behind in active war zone might not have lasted long. This cat in the pic is likely a stray, and he’s seen some shit before any of those assholes even showed up. I bet a lot of house cats did survive, and went on the bring love to a new family as a fellow survivor.

—edit to replace “warrior” with “survivor”, added a word—

My most hilarious and embarrassing story has an element in it that involves seeing my friend get knocked out by his father in front of my mom and brother. The kid was 15 and was in trouble for breaking landscaping bricks at a local park.

The hilarious story happens right after that, when 11 year old me got violently pantsed by bike handlebars in front of a man driving by and now I am realizing that the whole thing is traumatic :(
