It’s simple. We kill the groundhog.

You don’t have to be a pederast to join the big club, but it helps.

Curate your own feed, patriot.

This is the first time in my adult life that I’ve even considered an invasion to be in any way beneficial
Liberals oppose every war but the current one.
But the Iranians around me are telling me
They’re expats or n generations removed. They’re not in Iran, don’t know what’s really going on there and don’t speak for those who are and do.
Please tell me what you think the international community should be doing?
The international community:

After Russia it’s already the most sanctioned country in the world, and those sanctions have contributed to the discontent that fuels these protests.
Correct, and that’s exactly why the “international community” shouldn’t be imposing illegal sanctions in the first place. They’re not imposing collective punishment on the Iranian people out of the goodness of their hearts. They care about Iranians exactly as much as they care about Palestinians, namely: not a rat’s ass. Despite the bleeding heart rhetoric, the sanctions are for furthering imperialist interests, predominantly those of the US and Israel. They want regime change that vassalizes Iran.
Jeffrey Sachs: Engineering Iran’s Unrest
It’s certainly not diplomacy and it’s not coercion. It is war conducted by economic means, all designed to produce an economic crisis and social unrest leading to a fall of the government.
You’re not listening to the people. You’re listening to comprador plants.
You avoid acknowledging the grassroots movement in Iran
You misspelled “astroturf.”
The Brownshiirts weren’t cops, either, but that didn’t stop them from murdering people.
McSweeney’s: ICE Is Nothing Like the Brownshirts, Because the Brownshirts Actually Identified Themselves
Let’s say it again: ICE is nothing like the Brownshirts. One was an open paramilitary wing of an openly fascist political party, the other is an unaccountable government force operating without clear uniforms, identification, or transparency… for an openly fascist political party. There are SOME similarities between them, that’s true, but ICE is more like… well, we don’t really have a word for it in English. They are like… a government-sanctioned organization that operates without uniforms, masks its identity, infiltrates civilian spaces, and detains people without oversight, like some sort of… secretive… police-like thing.
But just because there isn’t a name for something like that does not give you the right to call ICE agents Brownshirts. That’d be like calling asbestos a “toxin.” Yeah, both will kill you, but THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.

Where’s the evidence of this?
Someone reported this post as “Breaks community rules,” too.

Reporter: [REDACTED]
Reason: This anti-American trend in non-political communities needs to stop. Political content outside of political channels sucks in general.

Nazi schmazi
Those leopards would never eat my face. After all, I’m white.

This is how I know we’re the most propagandized people in the world. We live on the Death Star and think it’s the Love Boat.
You can tell it’s a Rogue-like because of the way it is.

Tibetans were invaded by force, displaced, hate China and want their country back.
Tibetans were not displaced. They’re still there. What got displaced was a feudal theocratic dynasty. Of course they want their country back: they miss ruling over desperate, illiterate feudal serfs.
Many other nations draw important food and income from the area and China is kicking them out to starve.
Several countries have overlapping claims, but for some reason Westerners are only interested in China’s claims, because Western media has one specific narrative it wants to tell. Maybe Westerners should mind their own business and let countries on the other side of the world sort out their own disputes.
Taiwan claims to be an independent nation ready to resist China
And yet only a dozen UN member states recognize it as an independent state.
I’d love to know which Taiwanese say that.
Pretty much all of them? It’s even in the ROC’s constitution. Both the ROC and the PRC claim all of China, including the island of Formosa.
What’s your background here?
My background is anti-imperialism.
It’s in reference to the late George Carlin’s masterful bit.
