I don’t know if it’s feasible or not, but I was going to recommend the same thing, trying to get smarttube over Waydroid, as the most comfortable big screen, remote controlled experience that is privacy first, allows channel subscriptions, and integrates SponsorBlock right out of the box.
Most of the hate comes from Gamers Nexus, which is an extremely self-indulgent, self-aggrandizing YouTube that seems to pick fights with everyone and treats the Rampocalypse like every board partner is at fault. He is an expert at making hay.

I got into following the channel rather late, like, around 2017.
Linus has absolutely said some cavalier things, and his channel has a strong history if admitting their faults when they are called out.
They mostly stay in their own lane and don’t go picking fights, plus as a policy they don’t sue people they don’t have to, even when slandered, so being as popular as they are and being as passive as they are, thsts a pretty big bulls eye on their backs.

The author would like to apologize for bad English in the docs. A rand() function putting (the, a, an) in articles would probably be more accurate.

I was replying to the dismissive person above asking what to do when he loses his phone. Which is absurd in itself.
I will say that it is incredibly liberating to have my one device do almost everything else I care about, mapping, calendaring, communicating with people in meeting with, conducting my purchases, and providing podcasts or tunes all at the same time. I love that I have open source software for almost all of the functions, and well essentially all conglomerated businesses are evil, I trust Visa way more than I trust, say, Bitcoin, or BNPL vendors like Affirm, or Klarna.
I’m not going to handle cash money if I don’t have to because exchange rates are terrible and take margins at EACH transaction, are bulky, are prone to loss and are dirty, while my CC/Debit cards offer zero forex fees.
I value my privacy, and I make reasonable efforts to frustrate the algorithms’ models of me, but quit pretending we all have to be Mennonites, and purity testing your community …
