I’m not super clear on what being declarative and atomic means in an OS context. Does it mean there’s a file describing what packages are installed, kind of like nix?

Fantastic
The lack of caldav is really killing me
My first server was a used Dell r420, so I named it Pyrocumulus, after clouds that form over fires or volcanoes
I’m just impressed that you tried that many operating systems before giving up
I moved from kubuntu to endeavor a few months ago and it’s been excellent. It might just be my hardware, but I had quite a few strange issues on my system with kubuntu that haven’t appeared at all on endeavor
Qobuz is good but lately they want you to install their software to just download albums you buy, or else you have to download one track at a time. Really petty and annoying
I’ve had an excellent experience with endeavor OS, which can install KDE as well as some other DEs from the installation options. It’s based on arch
Sick
I really hate it but I still have active group chats that I haven’t had luck getting elsewhere. I get the impression it’s the same for most people because I haven’t heard anyone say anything positive about it in years
It’s now one of my more expensive monthly subscriptions since I have the family plan, and they don’t offer a way to pay for a year to save overall last time I checked. I’m just not as impressed as I used to be considering the price rose as well
If you want to get real deep into automation on your phone, check out Tasker. Complicated but there’s a ton you can do with it
Can’t even get a RSTLNE these days
My understanding is that cloudflare will block you from doing this if/when they detect you doing it, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Off the top of my head, would a tailscale funnel work for what you want? Serving Plex to the Internet without port forwarding?
Actually with Plex, I’m not sure you even need to expose it at all. People can reach your server via the Plex app as long as it’s connected to Plex servers, they don’t need to reach the site actually hosted on your hardware
15 hours is pathetic lol. Need to hurry up and move my music library off of Spotify
May have to go back a while to find it
I like the form factor, the specs, and the price. Haven’t really followed the news or the company much though
