Where to start?
One of the greats from the C64. A step up from Last Ninja in terms of graphics and gameplay. The soundtrack is killer for the time. Still sad that System 3 never seemed to get close to releasing a Last Ninja 4
Insert Anthem and ME: Andromeda here.
Sad. I was thinking the buyout was more about owning ip e.g halo, fallout tv shows than the devs. I guess in ms world any other studio can take over game development.
Yep. Compared to W3 felt like more busywork in CP2077
Cyberpunk 2077. Was sad when it ended will need to grab PL as by accounts it’s even better.
Will be interested to check out Callisto - didn’t set the world on fire, but then again I really enjoyed days gone when it came to ps+
Not really excited vey the selection they’ve put up esp combined with an incoming price bump.
See also the movie Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3) which predated Duke Nukem 3D by a few years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdkqagOUaPM
I thought it was a reference to the phrase ‘Suck my boomstick’ which I think came from Duke Nukem.
I just watched matrix 4, which gives me the same vibes as ME:A. Nice to revisit the universe but a lot of talk, busywork with no story and nothing new. The direct to video comment below seems apt.
Good setup, good engine, nicely rendered different worlds, not much going on. Like the matrix, could have been worthy in someone else’s hands.
However worth playing at budget price, just set expectations.
I have to get back to that one, I had a pc that was locking up constantly - never finished it.
This is in my top 10. Massive game and so deep with the side quests. I loved that you could wander off and discover these little mini stories in any direction. Spoiled me a bit for other games where you had to collect rocks or something (cough: DA:O)
The first one did not click at all for me
Nice work. It’s definitely one of the things that could be made easier at some point when the devs find a minute.
No worries and yeah Beehaw’s great that’s the great thing about this platform, you can have a home base and still hang out elsewhere.
3 was hard graft, and took me ages to complete. Not a highlight.
Like a dragon does not take itself seriously at_all. Turn based worked just as well.
QuickTime events. I started replaying RE4 original. Did not miss them.
Check the sidebar - it’s a generalist gaming community so share away. As a note there is also a dedicated ttrp community at !ttrpgs@lemmy.blahaj.zone which can be joined from beehaw.
For me I loved Dragon Age 2 beacuse I came from Mass Effect and the streamlined effect totally felt like an ME game to me. Also loved the idea of setting things in one city it was something different. Totally get why people don’t like it tho.
