What does kako mean for the uninitiated?
That is the whole point if a settlement though. It is outside the reach of rhe court that both parties agree to a certain resolution.
It may very well be the case that IA was offered a substantially smaller settlement sum, but only under the consition that the exact sum is not publizised so that it would bot become part of settlement sum reasoning in possible future court cases.
Just as an extra note, keeping backups should be strongly encouraged, but self-burned CD/DVD/BluRay are extremely easy to get scratched and then no longer be readable. The store bought disks have an extra plastic layer on the bottom that protects the actual data section of the disk, but in order to be able to burn them at home this extra plastic layer cannot be present. Thus any scratches/scuffs immediately damage the underlying data not just the plastic protection.
When did these stories start switching over from intentionally abusing peoples data to having data breaches? I feel like the worst ended up still getting worse somehow.
I remember having tried to use a service before, and after trying my email address I got the error message that only hotmail, gmail, and icloud email addresses were allowed. Luckily I didn’t really need the service, so I noped out if there real quick.
This sounds like what tge commission was saying, right? The court did not rule against them per se, it just said all the rules of tge game actually have to be codified which is fair.
As another dev I agree with the other reply. Even if it seems really small, it still is something that should eventually get fixed and therefore can be considered a bug. It makes it easier to track everything that needs to be done if it is all in thr bug tracker. Worst case scenario if it is considered irrelevant it will just be given an extremely low priority in the bug tracker.
I thought the reason that Nintendo was always able to win these copyright accusations was due to Japan’s strict copyright laws. But if I read correctly, this was fought over in a US court, or am I misunderstanding something?
I’m not sure if I understand completely correctly what white label websites are, but also maybe the themes made for the Hugo website building program?
Sad, but also kind of funny that the true original apparently survived. I guess this means it will just be rebuilt again?
Personally, I do not think that there is a purpose in speaking well about it. That being said I would also not speak badly about it. My own moral compass would be speak badly about the conpanies that deserve to be gotten rid of and simply use the companies that provide decent services. No need to praise a company for offering a decent service.
Kayak? I’m really having trouble imagining how that works. Is that still normal police giving out the DUI or some kind of water police along a beach? Could you explain some more to put my imagination at ease?
Maybe to get a bunch of people to overdraft and then ahve to pay overdraft fees?
So use open source software, or indie developer software instead. Boycott the big tech. Build better things from scratch, and then we can ignore what these few people do.
Could someone explain for me in laymans terms, how is it that they were using a Google IP as their broadcasting IP?
