I would like to add that if you want to do any real customization of your setup don’t get mac either.

Instead of having your windows float around, they perfectly snap and fill the space of the monitor depending on how many windows you have open. A new DE in alpha right now called Cosmic has both floating windows and tiling, you can change with just a toggle.

Cosmic is great so far, I run it on Fedora.

Ya I’ve had this issue for months now, the video will freeze when the original 10 seconds of buffer is used, and it’ll play fine if I skip another 10 seconds but just buffer indefinitely otherwise.

Hopefully those FOSS projects will gain some sense as discord becomes more shit and will leave. One can hope.

Firefox and Linux have not really caused any more captchas than I had on windows, using a VPN on the other hand is horrible.

Gnome 100%. I personally like gnome for mouse and keyboard use but it’s really a no brainer for touch screen use.

Maybe invest in an external drive you can copy important files to. Dual booting is usually issue free but it’s always possible to have data loss in general. Data loss, especially data that is personally important to you is a tragedy.

I started with Zoro which is a windows look alike, tried mint and a few other distros but ultimately landed on Fedora.

Fedora has been great and I haven’t been tempted to leave since trying it out a few years ago.

I maintain my lean figure by consuming 1000 calories of Soylent for the morning/lunch time and and pigging out for dinner. There is cheap nutritionally good food, but junk food addicts don’t care to seek it out.
