This! Lemmy became so much comfortable by using old.lemmy.world, almost all withdrawal symptoms went away.

Also, how do they compare to the existing lemmy apps?English2·2 years agoYeah, I’m using Voyager as well, but if Christian Selig would decide to retool Apollo, and bring it out for Lemmy, it would instantly introduce MILLIONS to Lemmy. That product was huge.
I guess that was Reddit’s problem, the 3rd party clients attracted eyeballs on their own. Reddit no longer owned these eyeballs.

It’s an unpopular opinion here, but I agree with you. I’ve been running a single disk Synology for a decade or so, replaced the original one about 4 years ago.
The software is pretty sleek and it would fit OPs requirements perfectly. I don’t care for some power hungty Intel based PC sucking kWhs of power each day, just to host some media.
Mine boots up at 19:00 and shuts down at 01:00. It has a built in Torrent client that even my partner can use.
