5·13 days agothe issue was that he had all the right policies. That’s what stings. As I said, most of us were willing to look the other way for a few transgressions so long as he asserted that he was a different person than he was before. This accusation was just a different beast entirely and couldn’t be downplayed or ignored. Also it really was the last straw.

63·13 days agoI do feel you but there’s fighting dirty like them and then there is abandoning our standards. If we abandon our principles than we are no better than they are.

13·13 days agowe were willing to believe the narrative that such people could be redeemed. He seemed genuinely to find distaste in his past actions and was openly repentant. That’s what makes this mildly infuriating because this is the bridge too far. He’s spot on on the issues, seemed humble and well spoken. To put a pin in the r4pe allegations for a second, the larger issue is that he CAN get blackout drunk and then do things he can’t even remember. Drunk posting on reddit before the modpocalypse is one thing, but if those things include SA? Yeah, we have to make the hard pass now. There’s a line, man.

125·13 days agoUnfortunately this seems 100% credible. Her therapist and another ex boyfriend are both corroborating the allegations. The woman even said she shares his politics. I’m not mad at her bravely coming out with this but the timing is rather suspicious. She should have spoken up a year ago, or at the very least ahead of the primary. There’s a guy we can slide over to, he’s known and vetted in the state (Troy Jackson, who’s a logger by trade), but he has about as much charisma as a grilled cheese sandwich. Also he’s almost retirement age.
have your tried loving yourself? Next you’ll be telling us that you only drink decaf. “black coffee” Psh, honestly…
it should be illegal based solely on the added heat. How much does this guy pay for AC?
this person gets it
Government issues the business licenses. Seems like someone needs to be reminded who has who by the balls.

Not just that, but in his case it might be the real healing he needs. Or he could come out the other side with real viable opinions about the prison industrial complex based on lived experience, which was kind of the draw with him in the first place TBH.
