22·1 year agoOr you could have a normal phone and a phone-sized power bank in the other pocket and have balanced pants.
My 5Ah Sony 1 V is too big and heavy. The battery lasts a week in sparse use with /e/OS.

1·1 year agoOh. I didn’t see hate like that. I hate it when my toes get wet after I’ve walked through a puddle. I hate clam dishes. All your mom did was resemble mine.

37·1 year agoI’ve never met her, but I hate her. My mom is almost as bad, going to weird lengths to misunderstand.
A conservative distro of Linux is more reliable than Windows. Debian or something. Overwrite the Windows so it can’t break the boot menu. Apple I don’t know about.

cats@lemmy.world•How the heck do you give you cat a pill?English
2·1 year agoI make pockets from meat.
- Cut meat into bits of one cubic centimeter.
- Cut pocket with scissors or knife. One incision makes a pocket.
- Cut pill into ~10 fragments and insert into the pockets with tweezers. Squeeze the pocket open to avoid touching the outside of the meat bit with the bitter pill fragment.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Which CLI app/utility you wish there was a GUI for?English
71·2 years agoThe whole CLI. Linux should automatically generate default GUIs from manpages and code, to be developed further by the crowd of users on the desktop. It’s pointless to handcraft both interfaces one app at a time.
I like Linux Mint (compared to Ubuntu, Debian, and Windows) because usually right-clicking takes me closer to the solution I’m looking for, but it doesn’t allow me to dig deep enough. It should be discoverable all the way from the desktop to what makes it tick. Think of Smalltalk by Alan Kay in Xerox PARC in the 1970s, or what it would be now had it been mainstream all this time. #discoverability #explorability
No, can’t be lack of anything, it was the regular Mint 21.3 installer image overwriting Debian on a normal ext4 formatted partition. Nothing should have gone wrong. Reinstalled with formatting on, and it started working.
“Hadn’t” means “had not” (not done in the past), not “had not” (lacked possession). I’m Finnish and might be wrong.

Let’s not confuse rooted with bootloader unlocked. My /e/OS is not rooted and four bank apps work, including Curve Pay for leaving the wallet at home. Probably thanks to microG contacting Google when needed.
