I feel a little cramped for space with 4 monitors these days. 6 is actually my preferred setup, but I don’t have the desk space for it.

This happens once in a while with my washer as well. My determination is that it starts to spin and is so far out of balance that it has to refill and swirl the clothes around a bit, then drain it to hopefully get a more even balance of mass so that it can properly spin. It’s much worse when there are large items, like a blanket that tend to lump on one side.

I took my kids out, one is almost 3 and the other is just over a year. So few houses in our neighborhood had ANY appearance of anyone home, let alone participating that it took nearly two hours to get about 15 houses. In a pretty standard suburb. At least two houses that were heavily decorated had nobody home and no bowl out. Two also had colorful lights but when we knocks on the door they looked confused when there were two toddlers yelling at them. One just shut the door in our face and the other sort of stood there for a minute with his mouth agape and finally said “I don’t have anything”. I mentioned to that guy that he MIGHT want to turn his lights off or there would be kids all night, but walking past at the end of our evening, all his lights were on still.

I left a bowl on my porch and had two small groups of respectful kids each take a couple pieces each (video doorbells have changed the game a little).

A close friend was raised in the Carolinas. They were taught that the civil war was about “states rights”. It wasn’t until they were an adult that they did their own looking into what “rights” the southern states were fighting for. It really opened my eyes to how the blinders have been put on so many people. I’m 100% sure that I have my own set, but it’s important to remember, and engage these people when you have an opportunity.

A professional video switcher will do this but it’s way more with “DVE” but you’re probably looking at more cost than another TV.

I’m not honestly sure if you’re trolling, but I’ll bite anyway. Youtube is owned by Google, who is one of the world’s largest cloud providers. Note that there really is no such thing as ‘off-prem’ for Google, as they have data centers all over the planet at this point. They will actually have multiple copies of the video floating at different levels of storage and different nodes around the world, all automated to tier the data as demand rises and falls.

Get his money back from whom? It’s not like a toaster that he can bring back to the store.

I’m really intrigued what the composition of that 14B is. I’m doubting that they have big investments in the stock market, or oil fields, or whatever. It’s clear that the core IP of Twitter can be largely re-coded by a few bored guys (we’re here aren’t we?). If the actual value of Twitter is in the name and userbase, and that gets trashed, then it’s certainly not worth 14B.
