You responded to criticism of the state of women’s rights under Taliban governance with criticism of America, you absolutely said something exactly that simplistic. If the post was saying that America and/or its allies should re-invade or otherwise try to overthrow the Taliban, sure, you might have a point, but it isn’t

You don’t have to think America is doing things right to think the Taliban are doing them wrong

For Civ 6, I’d say winning each victory once. Try to do it with different civs each time too. You can set your goal as winning a game on the highest difficulty if you want, but personally I don’t find that to be as interesting as the shift in gameplay necessary to win the different victories without just militarily crushing everyone else.

To be honest, even if it were completely true… okay? If analogue clocks are on the way out then there’s no particular need for anyone to be able to read them any more. I like them a lot visually and have a couple in my home, but there’s nothing so special about them that people would be missing out by using digital clocks instead

Other people have mentioned Paradox several times, and they are unquestionably the big name of the grand strat genre. Their main games are:

• Hearts of Iron. WW2 setting, pretty much exclusively about war. If you want to flex your strategic skills, this is the one to get.
• Victoria. The 100 years before WW2. Primarily about industrialisation. Victoria games have by far the most in-depth economy systems.
• Europa Universalis. These ones are about the era of European colonialism, spanning three to four hundred years with the Napoleonic wars at the end. EU4 is pretty the most like a Total War campaign map in feel.
• Crusader Kings. 700 years of feudalism. The map in these ones is limited to Europe, the western half of Asia, and the north of Africa. Distinct in that you play as a dynasty rather than a country. These ones are the most roleplay-heavy
• Stellaris. This is the only one I haven’t played, so I’m afraid I can’t say much about it

That’s just saying it’s common, though, not that it’s helpful. Do you actually ever use those recommendations?

How is it helpful? It isn’t going to know what you need because it doesn’t know if you’re hungry or low on fuel or whatever. It also isn’t going to let you see your options and could just as well be sending you to the worst local option because that’s who paid to advertise

You definitely don’t have to watch it all in one go. I usually just watch however much of it I want to watch that day and then send myself a time stamped link to pick it back up whenever I have the time and interest again

Very interested in this. I haven’t played Myst, because I’ve just always found point-and-click to be quite unpleasant. Do I need to have played it to understand what’s going on here?

I am seeing that there was a remake of Myst in a similar fashion, so I will take a look at that in its own right
