I had to go back out after giving it to him, and when I got home an hour later he had simply curled up and gone to sleep exactly where he was

Is this due to the “Recommend features as you browse” setting?
I’m not normally keen on mentioning people’s spelling and grammar mistakes, but if they’re going to be dickheads about the language everyone is speaking while writing “your a dumbass”, “has major issue”, and “germen” then it’s another matter
Skua@kbin.earthto Gaming@beehaw.org•I'm looking for the Holy Grail of multiplayer gaming4·2 months ago- Works just fine with anywhere from 1-4 players
- You can have a mix of friends and random players if you want a full team but don’t have a group of four to play with
- The game is strictly cooperative so there’s no incentive to screw each other over, fostering a generally good multiplayer culture
- There’s lots of stuff to unlock but none of it is necessary for a fun and functional build
- Teamwork is encouraged and effective
- Missions are randomly generated but you’ve got years of additions to the random pools for lots of variety
- Absolutely no pay to win stuff
- There’s cosmetic DLC, but there are still absolutely loads of great cosmetic options in the base game
Edit: also, rock and stone

Alright @Wild_Mastic@lemmy.world @Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com @Flax_vert@feddit.uk here we go. I picked up some of my cat Alaric’s favourite treats so we could get that authentic “give me food” sound as I kept them away from him.
I went with a virtual amp instead of the actual pedals so that I could show the exact same clips with and without amplification. I tried replicating something like the two pedals that are visible, but I couldn’t get it to work with the stuff that I already have so I just went ahead and dialed in a general death metal-ish tone of high drive distortion > Marshall JCM 900 with the mids scooped > a little tiny bit of reverb > a 4x12 cab. The clip has ten seconds of guitar recorded straight into the computer, the exact same guitar clip but with the amp turned on, then Alaric, and then the same clip of Alaric but amplified. Headphones warning, it is quite loud

Also a picture of the star vocalist, of course
I have a cat, a mic, and pedals. I’ll leave this comment as a reminder for myself to come back later once I’m done working and see if I can get the house-panther to do some vocals

Well that’s an excellent reason!
What magnificent ears. I see that you’re Canadian, so I assume that the name is after an Islay in Canada rather than the island in Scotland. What made you choose it?
Also, awfully brave for a cod to own cats
look mate some of us just like fonts. don’t kinkshame

Cat owner in the UK here, I can confirm that Zooplus is how I keep my resident shoelace murderer fed

Congratulations on citing an article about what happened in 2022 to attempt to disprove my claim about what happened before 2014. Please learn to read dates. This is the third time in this thread that you have either gotten them completely wrong or actively misrepresented them.
Skua@kbin.earthto Memes@lemmy.ml•To be America's enemy is dangerous, but to be its ally is fatal914·4 months agoYou’re retreading the exact same ground that I already went over with Grapho in this same thread
Skua@kbin.earthto Memes@lemmy.ml•To be America's enemy is dangerous, but to be its ally is fatal128·4 months agoI wasn’t there either, but I do know that on his inaugration he said “Ukraine’s integration with the EU remains our strategic aim.”
Are you saying that since he was more popular in the east, he must have been against EU integration?
The actual paper the number comes from (Fate of Empires by John Glubb) is complete bullshit, though. Even the cherry-picked examples it uses, which are limited strictly to the surroundings of the Mediterranean, don’t use any kind of consistent criteria for when an empire starts or ends. He tries to count “Alexander (and his successors)” as one coherent entity and then picks an end year in which all of them had either already collapsed long ago or would not do so for many decades to come. He cuts centuries off of the Roman Empire’s lifespan by just saying that the empire was unstable and getting invaded a lot (and ignoring the Eastern Empire entirely). HIs reckoning of the “Arab Empire” includes three separate caliphates, and the end date isn’t even the actual end of any of them
Other than that, no, it does not attempt to find an average in the sense of a mean lifespan. It actually does argue that 250 years for an empire can be compared to a human living 70 years.
