This guy is making the same argument that people do when they claim it’s impossible to make a phone waterproof while also having a removable battery even though these phones already existed and it’s a super basic solution. It’s just ignorance and loud opinions all around.
I don’t think any of those services will block youtube ads since they’re coming from the same domain as the videos. Only UBlock can block them in a browser. There may be some other YouTube front-end available out there on streaming sticks but they’d likely require root access or some other way of installing unapproved apps.
Same but my ban was for talking about piracy in /r/movies and then accidently posting there again months later on one of my alt accounts.
Declared a monopoly only in the search engine space AFAIK. Browsers don’t have anything to do with that other than maybe setting Google as the default search engine.
I use Firefox everywhere except work where my only options are Chrome or Edge (both chromium). Apparently uBlock lite is supposed to work on the new version of Chrome and hopefully still functions roughly the same. Apart from block web ads, I rely on it to block YouTube ads.
Someone took Monster’s “$100 gold plated HDMI” cable and one-upped it.
I’d been using AliExpress for quite a while before hearing about Temu. Went to go check it out and it’s like an exact clone of AE (including the discount popups) but then it forces you to install an app in order to buy anything so I noped out. Not sure why anyone would use them when you can get the same shit off AE without all the hoops.
Damn bro, this is like seeing an 8-slot VCR or 50 disc CD changer.
Ditch the SD card all together and get a cheap SSD to use as the boot drive instead.
We have Logitech wired mice at work and they’ve turned into straight garbage in recent years. I’ve literally opened one brand new and had the cable begin fraying where it feeds into the mouse within a week. Previously, our Logitech mice would last for years without issue with 24/7 use.
I’m sure they charge a fee to pay your rent with a card too.
Just grab a bottle of Febreeze and spray it down. Problem solved.
Implying that people were okay with the smell of a rotting corpse in the distant past. We’re biologically wired to be repulsed by the smell since eating it would kill us.
In the PNW where lots of people spend time out in the mountains or desert miles away from anything and any service, normalizing satellite communication into regular smartphones would be excellent in an emergency. I know they have special satellite phones now but the costs are insanely expensive.
Are you getting a discount when you buy a carrier phone on contract? Every time I’ve priced them out, the total for 24 months of payments is typically around the full MSRP of the phone. Buying direct usually results in hefty discounts since companies like Samsung always have some sort of deal going on. My parents recently got some bottom of the barrel smartphones and still wound up paying hundreds of dollars for them on contract even though you can buy them outright online for 1/3 of the price.
I work at a FAANG adjacent company and it’s exactly the same thing here. I believe it 100%
These look like Crumbl cookies which are sold in their own stores for ridiculous prices. One cookie can legitimately feed 4 people since they’re so rich (and delicious)
