It’s an older meme, so it’s possible OP just googled a quick template and didn’t realize it wasn’t the original.

😂 leave that shirt as it is. Use it to decorate your house, and as a reminder of your hubris.
I know about 5 different people’s names at work. If I meet someone new, I forget someone else’s name.
Cause that’s how brains work.

I recently moved to a new area and got a card in the mail telling me my polling place. On election day I showed up and found out three districts use that building.
So I asked the volunteer which district I was in. He asked for my address, then said, “I don’t know where that is”. K thx, buddy. Then he whipped out a 20 year outdated paper map and asked me to find my house. The street wasn’t even there! After finally stepping out of line (and some exasperated groans of relief behind me) I did 15 minutes of frantic googling to find my district. Then I had to go to the back of the line and wait again.
I was lucky I had the day off work for all that nonsense. Most people don’t have that luxury.
Nothing will compare to last week when I was listening to a podcast in the car. The GPS will pause podcasts instead of turning down the volume. So I heard “well, this looks like a MUR - turn right on baker st - DER!”. I bust out laughing all by myself in the car.
Not sure if this was intentional, but on mobile that text has no line breaks. Just one looooong line I gotta scroll sideways to read.
There was some pseudoscience going around a while back about people can be left brain or right brain thinkers. Supposedly it came down to your dominant hand - meaning lefties are artistic and righies are logical. It’s been thoroughly debunked but people still say it to me fairly often.
Is there a way to have the gif automatically play?
Depends on how you’re browsing lemmy - I’m on liftoff and they auto play. Maybe check your app’s settings?
Also, is there a way to add a gif from a keyboard app like GIPHY?
Afaik Lemmy’s markdown is text only, so you’ll have to get the url from your app. I can’t get it for my phone, but there might be a long tap then “view in browser” or “get url” option like I have on their website.
FYI, the format for an imbedded gif is ! [] (https://i.imgur.io/Thsxdtu.gif) without the spaces
This playlist better include “microwave popcorn” by Bo Burnham 🍿
Stardew Valley mobile is the full game, and even allows for mods! I actually liked the controls better on my tablet than PC.
I agree. Imo a lot of the hate for reddit reposts is because repost bots are either posting content too quickly or pulling from new instead of top. Lemmy’s not ready for an influx of bad content, so you gotta curate it.
I’ve slowly been rebuilding https://lemmy.ml/c/dccomics at 1-2 posts a day. That way there’s always something in top/day but it won’t flood a user’s feed. I’m also not reposting top/day from reddit in case there’s users that still use both.
3rd rock from the sun has some fantastic humor - one of the best shows of the 90s
I was genuinely surprised to see a stonetoss comic not about racism, lgbt-phobia, sexism, or pro Nazi stuff. Took me a second to realize it’s not even a BHJ!
Slightly unrelated, but I was just talking with a friend about how we’re going to have similar issues with young artists trying to copy ai. As is, many young artists will turn to cartoons instead of real life when starting out. Their work is a bastardization of a bastardization, with serious flaws in anatomy, gravity, light, and depth. They go on to call those mistakes their “style” and point to other artists making those same mistakes to normalize them. Since “style” isn’t something they think they need to improve on, they may become good artists overall while having severe, glaring holes in their skillet that any professional can see. You can sometimes even tell when someone started out because “90s anime” or “10s cartoon network” made specific stylistic choices that changed over time.
So I think ai is going to cause similar problems. Newbies will copy what looks pretty to the untrained eye and learn an ai based style. Then when they become more popular they’ll be fed into ai as reference material and perpetuate the problem. Even worse is actual professionals may turn to ai instead of real life references or a desk mannequin. Then their skills may degrade because they rely too much on improper tools. (I’ve already seen this becoming an issue with photoshopped reference photos.)
Anyways, that’s my $0.02
300? The tracking site is still showing 5k.
Wait, THAT was the issue? (I thought it was another program that got sold, and the new owner bundled it with malware or something.) Is there something wrong with MuseGroup? I’ve been using MuseScore for ages.
