Besides CoMaps, only other Google Map alternative that works close to it is Mapquest. Its not as private but it gets the job done and works suprisingly well.

Yeah…it really did. Thats the phone that you, myself and so many want and they really dont realize how big of a customer base they would get if they put that plan into action.

If the phone was real, i was so ready to be a customer of theirs. Ive been waiting for them to “make” a resonable size phone and not the phablets they have. Instead, they came out with the shitty Nothing 4b for their India market, which showed how bad in quality they’ve gotten. I highly dought after the phone 3 if theyll make good phones again. In the US market, only phone you can get of thiers is the Phone 3 and 4a pro (good luck trying to find the others) 😅

That video that they showed about that phone was 100% satire. Not to mention Nothing unfortunately is looking more and more like an Apple wannabe. Not trusting that company anymore after that crap.😒

Unless it’s the actual OS itself, I absolutely agree. BlissLauncher (the launcher for e/OS on the phone I have, the Teracube 2s) is such a stupid and very limited launcher.

You cant put widgets on your pages, after the main notification page. you can’t make the app icons to big or the names for the apps to large, and if you do, it starts to lag. And now this issue, changing the launcher apparently, makes the navigation panel not operational. It’s the most stupidest thing I’ve seen so far on this phone.

It feels so slow and laggy to me, especially since when they started getting heavily advertised as the browser for people switching from Google. It used to run way better before they had that massive influx.

Even if that’s the case, these browsers that use Mozilla (Firefox) seem to be the only one (from what I’m learning) where I dont have to disable so many features just to get it to work 🤷

Yes, it’s an android setting, but I don’t know why, it started working normally after reinstalling BlissLauncher

I was messing with them when trying out the different launchers and it was not working properly for some reason. I have no idea why it was acting like that. But when I reinstalled the original launcher that was preinstalled in the phone, it started working normally again.

I recently downloaded Ironfox to try it along with Fennec for mobile. So far no issues.

Yeah the whole, constantly proving your not a robot, enable cookies and/or JavaScript, etc. It gets to much, like I get it about privacy, but come on.

After hearing on the recent controversy from Mullvad, I’m not gonna go that route in using them. Same with anything Proton, don’t want the drama.

I’m trying Fennec (mobile) and I do use Firefox for desktop but I wanted to hear if they’re were other options besides Firefox and its extensions, for mobile.

Brave and Safari?? Since when was Safari a recommended browser? Safari’s default search engine is Google (even though they’re not apart of Chromium, they still use Google).

Never for mobile, but I used to use them for desktop as my search engine while my current browser is Firefox. Unfortunately theyve gotten so bad lately.
