Welp, we had Friday, didn’t we? (Last week there was an excessive heat wave that kept everyone indoors. Friday was lovely and then on Saturday the smoke came in)

In the immortal words of James Stephanie Sterling “corporations don’t just want some money. They want all of the money”
Reminder: gas prices have next to nothing to do with Russia’s war in Ukraine. They are artificially hiked up by the producers simply because they can (and because the world is transitioning away from fossil and it’s one of their last tangos)
Nope. It controls the size of the font in comments that are already posted and I am reading.
I’m looking to increase the size of the font in comment editor while I’m writing one.
I believe that menu is just for the text on existing posts. There is another one for default baseline text size, but modifying it changes everything.
I’m quite happy with all the sizes, except for editor.
Maybe it’s not just the OS vs OS but more like Gimp vs Photoshop. Both accomplish pretty much the same tasks, but one feels way more polished than the other.
Maybe this will work: Sync feels like a Product, while Jerboa feels like a Project.
There are pros and cons to both approaches. I happen to be looking for a clean, pretty app that integrates with my Android 13 theming etc.
I was using Jerboa for the first month. It’s good, functional. However, with all due respect to the penguin people, it felt like working on Linux. Just a bit too utilitarian and function focused.
Yesterday I installed Sync and it was like switching to Windows/OSX. So much more polish, much more pleasant experience.
On Reddit I was using BaconReader - and had no idea Sync looked (and felt) this good. Great UX, though still has some ways to go. The comment font size when typing is super tiny!
Thanks, this answer in particular have me something to think about.
I started using 1pass after the audit by my former company’s itsec team. Just curious if there are some downsides (apart from the price) I’m not aware of.
I’m hearing a lot of good things about Bitwarden, especially from the Linux crowd.
What I am curious about though is what’s in your opinion wrong with 1password - a solution I’m currently using too.
Nothing like kids romanticizing the idea of army and war from the comfort of their keyboards.

Trading one asshole billionaire for another is a losing game. The only losers are users of these services.
It’s like two giant Mecha robots fighting while a crowd of fans of one or the other are cheering on the ground and being squished.
Came here to say just that. Used to love fast food, sodas and candy in large amounts too. Then went to a conference and watched a video of myself giving a talk there afterwards. I hated looking like that.
Thus begun my journey of weight loss. 45kg later I can genuinely say that while some part of my brain still asks for garbage food, I genuinely enjoy eating healthy. My entire taste palette changed, too - and I can now taste flavors that were unknown to me due to overdependence on salt and sugar.
Daily walk/jog is a highlight of the day, and whenever I feel like eating garbage foods again, I just have to think about how it makes me feel not just after - just an hour, or two or a day later.
Matter of luck really. I just bought a new phone last week and today it’s discounted by $140.
I didn’t expect anything but plastic garbage and Alexa devices to be discounted, tbh.
And I’ll scream and spit curses at you if the tip is any lower than 25%
I’ve been periodically installing and uninstalling it on my phone for the past 10 days. Never managed to launch it. Crashes after a second or two every time.
eBay has become the place for scalpers to sell overpriced wares, after they emptied store shelves. From toilet paper to graphics cards, that’s where the buyout stock, sell for profit happened.
Now even without shortages, this philosophy persists at eBay. Nothing to lose for them, free money to make on uninformed buyers.
Worst case they end up not selling and can possibly return items for full refund.
