I’ve always wondered, is this a drawing of the YouTuber NorthernLion?

5·2 years agoDoesn’t this make NewPipe better in that instance? If it’s client side you aren’t going to be rate limited.
There is also a fork of NewPipe that integrates SponsorBlock (I don’t know if Piped has that).

6·2 years agoWhat happens if you use SmartTubeNext on a TV? I’m assuming the interface wouldn’t support the 3 strike YouTube popup so I guess you’d just get blocked without knowing why?
I’m guessing ReVanced will support the popup so you’d know.

Interesting, but 4/8 of the games you list are remakes/rereleases.

Technology@beehaw.org•Reddit experimenting with blocking mobile browsers
3·3 years agoThe post is over a month old, more like good timing to bring this to people’s attention now haha.
Bought a 144hz 1440p monitor a couple years ago so I really need to upgrade my RX580, but I got fed up with GPU prices so just got a PS5 to tide me over.
I know why they are doing it, but I was wondering more about the timing. These have all been around for years but it seems recently there is a sudden push to remove third party apps.
Is there a new technology coming out, a new law, or as @orbit@beehaw.org says is it just CEOs copying each other?
I suppose, especially when there is money to be made and/or saved.
Reddit, YouTube, Twitter - it seems like all companies want to suddenly shut down third party apps. Coincidence or is there something larger at play here?
Yeah I’ve been subbed to him since around 2012/13. Used to watch his Binding of Issac on and off where the banter was top tier as he got so good at the game it was all muscle memory.
I now watch his Super Auto Pets videos on and off as well which has replaced the Binding of Issac content.
In both cases he put out more content than I can consume so I’ll always have content to watch.
They stopped in December just gone, but here is a site where playlists have been made for all the YouTube content.

This is actually amazing. I’ve done a bit of editing as I play Pokémon Go which uses OSM for the background map. I got fed up of just looking at roads so I mapped in all the buildings, shops, parks etc near me.
This gamifies walking and exploring which I love!
