Friendica, Mobilizon and Hubzilla can all be compared to Facebook. I have an accound on Friendica and I like how well it supports federation with all Fediverse platforms, from Mastodon to Lemmy.
Same as with most artists, go to their website and you’ll find the bandcamp/faircamp/etc page, in this case:
There are plenty of better ways to obtain music, such as actually buying the music instead of streaming it. And, hey, that’s like saying you’d stay on Reddit because that’s where the content is. Ethics should come before easy entertainment.

I love Weird Al! But pretty sure this was hyperbole. The point still stands, though. It really is depressing that people just follow “everybody else” when giving abusive megacorporations money. Depends on the client. Website doesn’t make it clickable, Jerboa can open it locally without problems, Eternity also opens it locally but has problems loading.
No, it’s the original comment that got deleted (probably by the creator), and then some clients don’t show the following thread because they have no top-level comment to attach to.
Hey, you’re on the Fediverse. You’ll rarely see anyone promote anything that isn’t decentralised, even less that is not FOSS.
