If the download mode is not fastboot, is might be some sort of LG proprietary “fastboot” of sorts, maybe some research into this mode can help

Shit, this made me look at my okd account and sane thing happened. I wish I was in the EU, I could report them for ignoring my deletion request (I actually also asked for the user to be deleted)

This is good advice, but I would add having a bootable Linux distro on a usb, and using more and more until you find yourself not needing Windows, then move to Linux with just it or a dual boot configuration with Windows as a fallback

Don’t over think it, start small, a home server. Then add stuff, you will see that it’s not that crazy.

I personally have just one home server that locally creates encrypted backups and uploads them to backblaze.

This gives me the privacy I need as everything is on my server that I own while also having the backups on a big reliable company.

It’s not perfect but it fits my threat model
