Are retro thinkpads that expensive in your region? Where I live you can get a functional one for ~$80 if you look on the used market enough

there are locked down distros?
was in the same situation for a while, but I switched a few weeks ago and I’ve never since looked back
is this sarcasm?
ltt is a tech lifestyle content company and I don’t like tech lifestyle + the existence of media conglomerates
omg ddcci :)
kde marble and a wwan card
was bored in w*ndows and kde looked cool
yeah agree
I like this project and just hope it was gplv3 or some similar copyleft license
I disagree, I think the current design is pretty good (though I preferred the layout in kde5)
I guess the biggest problem is how ugly tabs are in breeze?
because you need the coreboot people to write firmware that can initialise the system, and that probably takes a lot of reverse engineering
I don’t know much about this, but I assume there’s little to no effort for corebooting on the amd side, I’ve only seen intel platforms with coreboot

so that means you can internally flash the bios chip from the os?
would be cool if there were coreboot builds for these platforms, this exploit seems pretty useful
it’s fixed now
t430 with coreboot works pretty well, though you can’t do some things like flashing the embedded controller and some things like recalibration of the battery doesn’t work
the boot speed is actually insane though, if you have grub as the payload and have it directly boot linux without a bios/uefi
i think you make 2 and resize them
eh just call it gnulinux or musllinux or whatever
