True.
The only thing the average consumer will even notice is the end of support for Windows 10. However, once the prompt to upgrade to Windows 11 appears, 99% will click “yes” and forget about it. They might be a little annoyed by the changes, but that will be all.
And mainly in third world countries, like the US.
I was in the same boat as you a year ago, but Windows got so bad that I just accepted that I could only play 90% of the games I want and had to check protondb before buying a game.
Also I wouldn’t use a distro that has GNOME as their default DE. KDE is (currently) superior in many ways that matter for gamers.
It makes sense that older people are serial killers though. They simple had more time to murder more people throughout their years.
Doesn’t mean your company didn’t bet on the wrong horse. Luckily we stay far away from anything Google touches, but I have friends in other companies who weren’t as lucky.
Anyone tried the KDE variant with nvidia?
If you think voting for literal idiots is an American thing you really haven’t been paying attention.
Boris Johnson, Victor Orban, …
Every Canadian I’ve ever met doesn’t like to be called American. Don’t know about the other countries, but I’d assume it’s the same.
Sure, but there are plenty of people over there that are not Stalinsts, but still obnoxious trolls.
Why do people always put labels on them as if that’s the reason they are idiots. It’s not. There just a bunch of obnoxious trolls that have made it their mission to annoy other instances.
I would never use an ISPs router for my home network. It just causes so many issues that you can easily avoid by either using your own router directly or if that is not possible putting the device into “bridge” mode and using your own router behind it.
What are some of the issues?
The devices the ISPs send out are usually the cheapest hardware imaginable and therefore introduce substantial unnecessary latency.
Where I live some ISPs also used to use tools that genereted wifi passwords based on the devices MAC address. While this is apparently fixed now, a lot of non tech savvy users still use these old devices that are basically open to anyone now.
To save even more money, they sometimes deliberately send out faulty devices (as in devices that drop connection frequently, restart for no reason, etc) which is just horrible.
I know these issues because I worked in that field and there are a lot more unfortunately…
I used to be fine with all the shit practices you mentioned since I just wanted to play the games, but then I played Baldurs Gate 3 and remembered how gaming used to be.
I don’t think I’ll continue to buy DLC-ridden, half-finished and sometimes even outright broken games. Looking at you Diablo 4…
In that sense the publishers were rightfully afraid of the game. I guess it reminded a lot of us what we lost over the years.
Exactly, “even” litterally means divisible by 2. We could easily come up with a term for divisible by 3 or 5. Maybe there even is one. So yeah 2 is nothing special.
I mean it could also be someone that was hired to do it. You know getting rid of the competition before it becomes a real competitor.
Austrian here. I also know that one.
Exactly. The level of polish Sync has is unmatched in the android space and well worth the money for me.
Sync not only works. It’s the smoothest App I have on my phone. The animations and transitions are just beautiful, well timed and do not stutter even a tiny bit. I wish all android apps were like Sync. I’ll gladly pay whatever he charges.
