I wish I was born as this cat.
I wish I was born as this cat.
Preferable to ads, which I assume is the profit incentive to ever develop the technology in the first place.
Huh, you know what, I don’t think I feel like this anymore. I used to, but now it doesn’t bother me. Thank you for making me realize I have grown.
“Extra steps for thee, not for me!”
Did Andrew Tate sell you a bunch of pills to leave the Matrix as well?
I like it especially on the milk cartons. They really don’t matter if you pour it into something to drink like my coffee.
Nobody should be buying single use bottles anyway if there are alternatives available. Maybe that’s the quiet part - making them less attractive to consumers
Wow. I got played. I did finally switch to just drinking tap water and the number of single use plastic bottles I go through each weak is down by 90% or smth. Just like 2-3 bottles of coke left. I buy some local off-brand stuff cause screw big corporations.
There is usually now a “reject all but essential” button. Well, it’s an improvement.
Something utterly deranged, which is why I care about my privacy. I swear to god if Mozilla starts indexing my mail to train their crappy AI project, I will lose it.
A bunch of them: Kate, Konsole, Dolphin, KCalc, Kdenlive, Okular, Gwenview, Ark, Spectacle, KDEconnect, Elisa and probably a couple more I missed.
Prime works well anywhere tho. I guess you are asking for a GUI to switch between them and/or disable it on a per software basis? For me games via Steam “just work”, they use the Nvidia GPU by default and Lutris has a little switch to enable it. It’s only getting more complicated if you want your Nvidia GPU to fully turn off when not in use.
For my part, I will simply wait until Plasma 6 arrives in the official package sources.
Same. And then I wait a day or two to see if there are any major issues. I do the same for Nvidia updates. I mean I could also just roll back if anything happens, but why bother?
It’s Foe-hammer. Named after some bearded weirdo’s elven sword.
Yes. It’s illegal actually. A Microsoft team has been dispatched and is en route to your place right now to install Win 11 S on all of your devices.
Well, at least that will take your mind off global warming. Which is good since we have already hit 1.5°C of warming.
So that is why my late grandma was Christian!
No. Mint is fine for my dad who uses a browser and an email program and nothing else. I’m not gonna recommend it to people who do a lot more with their machines. I can tell them I use Linux and they can ask me anything if they are ever curious about making the switch, but that is it. If they don’t make the conscious decision to use Linux, then they won’t stick with it anyways.
No. Ghostery sold out years ago. Also uBlockOrigin can do the same, but apparently no one knows that you easily subscribe to additional block lists (one of them just for cookie banners).
Damn, even as a Linux user I get tired with all these “windows bad” posts. Yes, we all know it sucks. No lemmy user wants to use windows.
