It’s less that there’s not a demand so much as supply and demand work together. Not appart. When it comes to accounting, there are different ways to look at different things. The main one is financial accounting. Another one is taxes.

In the case of this: managerial accounting. Something that a lot of corporations seem to be failing at lately. Managerial accounting is basically finding information to report to the managers. For instance, breaking down the cost of an item to see how much it costs to produce, comparing it to how much it makes, etc.

One thing they do is figuring out how much to raise the cost of a good/service. It’s a slight gamble in that you can never be 100% sure, but they try to find that sweet spot where they can raise it without scaring away too many people and eventually losing money. In this case, they charge too much. The cost of flying, like everything else, has gone up. And we get worse service while there. So if you’re raising the cost of the different services, and you find that people are now only going with the cheaper option, you have likely started over charging. You need to drop the price of both services.

For instance, I might be willing to spend an extra $50 for an upgrade. But if you raise the price of the cheap service by $100, now I don’t have the money. Make the gap between the two $100, and now I really don’t have enough.

Of course, when every company made it a race to riase proces as much as possible, at this point I don’t think many companies have much of a choice. They all kind of fucked everything all at once, including themselves. But they made a profit in the short term, so there’s that.

I was gonna reply with “Sometimes the issue is racism”, but then I remembered a large part of the racism also goes back to capitalism.

I recently wanted an audiobook and found out it’s only available on Audible(because of course), so I resubscribed from when I had it about 5-6 years ago. Plan was to get the book and cancel again. They have also removed audiobooks from my account. Granted, they’re still available on audible. They weren’t taken off the service. I can buy them again. But it just shows they aren’t mine anymore.

From now on, I will pirate something before I subscribe again.

The Ranger was actually the one I was picturing. One of my friends in high school had one, and we all thought it was so cool. This was in a small town in Texas, so we could all ride in the back, which looking back… yeah, not the best idea. I’ve heard stories of people getting hurt. So I wouldn’t do it anymore. But it was always just a cool truck and I was always a little jealous of her.

That’s what I keep thinking about. Like sometimes I would love an older, smaller styled truck. It could be really useful, but it sucks they aren’t really an option anymore.

But then I think about it, and how often would I use it? I just bought a TV and had to have it delivered because it wouldn’t fit in our car. We recently moved, and it would have been great.

But other than that, I honestly can’t think of any time recently I’ve needed it.

I legitimately don’t think they do. Hence why when Trump got elected they said he was fixing the economy day one… because it was going up… from the things Obama did…

They really can’t grasp that it’s not always who is president on that date. Or that somethings aren’t caused by them.

I will have more rights under Biden. There’s more to rights than guns. Like as a gay man if I lose my right to exist, that’s a bit harsher than my right to own something.

Just go all day. Never have to worry about the bathroom again.

Keeping an old car is better, but having one that works is even better than that. Cause, you know, eventually cars stop working. That’s a thing.

Feeling like a consumer is a great way to put it. It especially feels more and more like it when trying to do even the most mundane tasks. Like if you own a product but need to ask a question on Google about it, first you have to scroll past the links to pages trying to sell you the product you typed in, then you might get some reddit links, 2-3 from a smaller forum, and then more links trying to sell you the product. It will say there’s thousands of results, but it’s just the same 6 links to purchase the product over and over again. So now even basic web searches are mainly for buying stuff.

Yup. I feel much more hopeful and motivated shortly before bed. I wake up, feel like shit. Go to work, where I obviously feel like shit. Go home tired from work, feel like shit. Then I get to rest and I feel a bit better.

But it’s also not wrong in that I know not to trust that version of me, and that I’m not gonna do anything differently the next day. So still accurate.

Yeah, I got the note thinking the stylus would come in handy… but I never actually use it. The few times I’ve taken pictures I have, but I rarely use the camera. It’s one of the last things I’m worried about with a phone. I mostly just play emulators on the bus, social media, YouTube, and that’s about it. So as long as games run fine, I’m good. I can use just about anyone for that.

I had actually considered switching out of Samsung for my next phone. Looks like I might be going with Pixel. Still gonna be expensive, but if they follow through on this, might be worth it. Just need to see how well it handles some things.

Now we just gotta hope the roaring 20s comes back… that’s also gonna repeat, right? Gonna have fun? Cause it’s the 20s? Someone tell me it’s gonna happen.

They almost did, but then there was the whole thing with people getting stock and holding, and that actually ended up on helping GS. How long they will hold out is still debatable though. Mostly because of things like this post and the other comments. They used to be great, but because of stuff like that, i refuse to order from them at this point. And there’s a retro game store near me that actually has a ton of switch games. More than any GS I’ve been to. So I don’t see a reason to go into one in person. Not to mention the rise in digital games.

I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. Moving and still have to get through BG3. But I’m actually excited for it. Like I see posts over and over and over and over and over and over about the the fact that it’s not NMS. Sure, kind of disappointing. And I will agree that if you keep running into the same exact structures over and over, maybe they could have done something different. Have some sort of procedurally generated structures.

But that seems to mostly be it. Every review I’ve watched talks pretty positively about the other aspects. It’s got some bugs, which is to he expected, and apperantly the melee combat isn’t clunky and awkward. But those seem to be the biggest complaints outside of not being able to land.

So I’m gonna do what I’ve seen a lot of people said to do. I’m gonna go into the Bethesda game and play it largely like it’s a Bethesda game. Gonna go through the main story, the different factions, do some side quests, etc.

It’s not No Man’s Sky. Cool. Call of Duty isn’t Escape From Tarkov. I have played both of those and loved them both for completely different reasons, and I don’t expect them both to be the same. If anything I got bored of No Man’s Sky after a bit. Partially because I’m just not into the base building, and itnfelt like that was the main thing to do outside of explore. Little to no stories. Last I heard we still don’t have the faction system they talked about when the game was first launching. Starfield has things going for it over NMS.

Stuff like this is why I will never understand people following him. Like, I get it. It’s the bigotry. And when it comes to that, nothing else matters. I understand it on paper.

But at the same time… why? When he’s constantly wrong, or when they have to constantly lie about the things he says, why keep listening to him? Why are they like this?
