Pop-under ads were obnoxious. As were the popups that were like 1 pixel large but it still had the windows bordering around it.
Start your plans to escape now even though it’s a few years away.
Find sympathetic family members or close friends who’d be willing to take you in. Preferably someone who your dad doesn’t know, or at the least doesn’t know where they live.
Act as you usually would around him, don’t have him suspect anything.
When the time comes, spring your plan into motion. Notify your contacts that you’ll need to be picked up. Pack essentials into a bag. Include vital documentation (birth certificate, social security card, ID) since those can be difficult to replace. Bring your pets if you have them. Leave in the middle of the night when he’s sleeping. Don’t leave a note. Turn off read receipts on your messaging application. Minimize as much leverage as he has over you.
You’re escaping abuse, so your own personal safety here is paramount, don’t feel like you’re obligated to him in any way. He will try to manipulate you if he knows where you went, so it’s best to just ghost entirely.

Technology@beehaw.org•Discussion: Cybertruck involved in attempted bombing in Las Vegas auto-locked after explosion
22·10 months agoWon’t it be difficult to prove that this is due to terrorism since Cybertrucks have a habit of exploding all on their own?
That’s a chonkin’ neck guard. Like Garrus’ in the Mass Effect series.
It makes the armor look like a pitcher.

It’s super satisfying to shoot them with an arrow just as they are performing their wake up animation, causing them to lie back down dead again.

Appliances are super expensive. It doesn’t help that so many of them have planned obsolescence built in so they fail just after their warranty period.
One little thing I learned is that upper “tier” appliances that cost more share many of the same components as cheaper models. The fancy clothes washing machine might have a color touchscreen but the motors and control boards are the same, so you could save a lot of money by just getting the cheaper model with buttons rather than one that is capable of running Skyrim.
A good way to check is to look for maintenance manuals for these appliances. If you see parts lists that are shared between the more expensive and cheaper models, you’re better off going with the cheaper one.
My dog once saw another dog kick up the ground after pooping to cover it. She now does it every single time, but didn’t learn it right so she ends up kicking up dirt randomly in other directions for a few seconds.

I have a 700+ day streak myself and I can confirm I want to absolutely murder that bird now.
