It’s on a desktop, not a laptop, which is why I didn’t encrypt it this time. But, the more I thought about it, the more it worried me that someone could just pop out my drive and get instant access. I live in the US and it’s starting to feel like they’re going to start breaking into houses looking for banned material any day now.

Training on what you’re going to carry is important, but all the training in the world can’t prepare you for the real thing. Adrenaline is going to interfere with your fine motor skills. It’s just a natural consequence.

Get something without a manual safety if you’re going to carry it. If you have to pull it, you don’t want to be dicking around with the safety when adrenaline is hampering your fine motor skills.

I just assumed this disclaimer was for live sports, which include ads whether you want them to or not. It’s not like you can just leave out the commercial breaks in a live broadcast.

I’ve been wanting to take the leap, too. I’ve got Linux installed on my gaming laptop and I’ve been trying games one by one to see if they work. Next step is dual booting on my desktop and only switching to Windows when I absolutely can’t make something work. My biggest concern is that I have a bunch of games installed on various drives that are all Windows (NTFS?) formatted and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to run them on Linux. I really don’t want to have to reinstall all of them.

He has a cousin that’s worse, so I guess I should count my blessings.

I turned the content filter to its most restrictive setting and it still gave him rainbow friends. I shudder to think what he might see if it was unrestricted.

We let him have Roblox for one. single. day. before we had to delete it. He found a rainbow friends server or whatever and was driving us fucking nuts chasing us around making rainbow friends noises and telling us all about the different color friends. It was exhausting.

I worked in retail until 2016, and a few years before I left they switched all the PoS registers to Linux.

Is that an RD 350 LC?! I’ve never actually seen one in person, only in pictures.

Windows 11 won’t work on my laptop. Installed Linux a few weeks ago. Works better now than it did with Windows 10.
