You can complain about the headphone jack, but Apple devices last far far longer than comparable devices. That goes for Macs too where the hardware lasts 10 years, and Google and Microsoft just tossed millions of devices in the trash by dropping support.

Linux has longer support than anyone, which should serve as a model, but of the tech companies Apple is the least guilty of planned obsolescence.

Lol I’m glad my cat isn’t alone. He yells when:

• he is going to use the litter box or has finished (he does not have a urinary tract infection, he just likes sharing the news)
• He doesn’t know which room of the house you’re in, or you haven’t invited him to hang out with you
• he’s playing and having fun
• his feelings are hurt because the other cat won’t play with him
• he thinks you have food
• you’re cooking spaghetti, his sworn enemy

Automatic feeder really helps.

My cat is a yeller and also highly food motivated and he’s great with the feeders.

He’s also incredibly fast at learning any behaviour which rewards him with food, I have actually trained him to come and a few commands based on that, but nothing will stop him from meowing at me when he’s excited about food.
